Hi all, just a quickie regarding payments from Amazon USA to the UK, I recently dabbled in creating my first amazon affiliate website, long story short - its going quite well (woo!) and I was able to reach the 100$ minimum threshold set this month and have received a cheque yesterday for that amount.

I was just wondering what your best processes are for cashing these in since my website will hopefully continue to grow and become far more of a serious investment prospect for me in the future.

Any input/help from anyone who is based in the UK and have gone through the process of opening a bank in the USA or anyone who has a decent knowledge on the best banks in the UK that offer the best exchange rates etc. would be hugely useful, pretty in the dark with this and noticed there's not a great deal of information online relating to comparison of banks etc. So personal experience is of huge value to me here.

Cheers and good luck to all!

Firstly, well done mate. Not cracked the US nut yet myself, so hopefully join you soon! Have you checked out this recent thread? https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/u...id-from-the-usa-program.972833/#post-10408565, few suggestions and experiences. Back in 1996 I used to do US affiliate sales and got cheques for $3k+ p/m, I had to open a $ account with Lloyds as that was the only option, things are better today. Worth speaking to your own bank as well.

You just pay it into your UK bank account, and pay the clearing fee which is about £10 for most banks.

Payoneer is the easiest option if you don't want to pay bank charges.

I had a First Direct account (online subsidiary of HSBC) and I used to just pay it in over the counter at a HSBC branch. They charged £7 to process each $US cheque. Nowadays, I just have my Amazon.com payments paid into Payoneer.
