Noobs, STOP wasting money on PBN's ...

All those PBNs with shit content about all sorts of topics that have nothing to do with the original expired domain... they won't get you anywhere.

Incidentally the best service I've bought here had 0 PBN involved and it was infinitely more effective.

Nah with the insane competition today theres almost no niches you'll rank for without a decent PBN.
That being said, onpage seo and other link building tactics can work too.

PBNs definitely work, just stay away from the low quality shit if you're planning other than churn 'n burn.

don't buy pbn links, build your own pbn

exactly as all these "public" PBN services suck anyhow (thats already the first error, real PBNs are never public) .
of course its not the only way to rank and all these services that sell PBN links are just shit thats why it doesn't work properly and then n00bs wonder why they cant rank.
however starting a own PBN to learn would be a much better approach. actually do it yourself and learn what you need to do and what really works or what doesn't.
anyways you don't need to, you can just as well rank with other links, its up to you there are more ways to rank...

Guys can you recommend a relevant guide on SEO basics today?

I remember i jumped into the PBN meme two years ago when i had almost no money.
It was the worst decision of my life since i literally threw away whatever little money i had saved up.
Often time people think PBNs are some magic beans which when you apply on your site it will shit magic money from your website.
Its important to learn by trying different things on your own instead of jumping on what gurus say.

I believe it is ok for everyone to go their own way. Since rarely anyone will follow the advice of other, it is still best to go with your gut. Only then can you see your mistakes and correct them.

This is 100% True..
Just stop wasting Time & Money on buying PBN links. ;)

I'm still learning the ropes, but from the results I've seen I feel like the PBN hype is somewhat justified.
However, definitely not a miracle pill type solution, just one piece to the puzzle...

And I've had good experiences with the PBNs here, yeah there's other niches on there but depending on the scale of your project ya might not want to make an investment in your own PBN (or have the knowledge). Just know what you're buying, and manage expectations..

Also good idea to look outside of the usual link building methods talked about here imo... Check your competitors, I see a lot of sites doing well in '17 with mostly donation links, and a few directory links etc

I agree that PBN quality varies; only buy from reputable sellers who care for their customers.

This is great advice. Have to start with the "nitty gritty," which everyone is too lazy to do, first.

Never learned SEO, and never will. I don't have time to spend 5 years of my life learning it. I'd rather outsource it and pay someone who already did that. I value my time more than money.

Too many people are a bunch of penny pinchers here I swear.. yeah, you can get stuff free. A lot of stuff free. You don't need to spend $97 on a course. You're right. But it's going to take you at least a year possibly more of wasted time. Much rather pay the $97 bucks and learn something in 1 hour that someone else spent several years learning through trial and error.

What you say about PBN's can be said for all SEO, for me SEO has become a useless waste of time, now new sites need to warm up for 9 months to a year, if you look into the crappy SERPS that google is spitting out these days the only shit you see is content from sites out of 2009/2010, try to search something on wordpress or magento, just basic shit, all you get is outdated crap, even when you structure your search with "" and - the results are still shit...

I am so glad that i have dropped everything SEO related i never had so much time and money to spend, if you read this and you want to start in SEO i will say that you're too late to the party, SEO is not dead but the amount of time money and frustration you have to put into SEO it just isn't worth it, and i know i have been doing SEO since 2003 when shit was really easy, put your money in social media, that traffic is targeted and you have INSTANT results, no waiting for months to see you site ranking for "buy this purple headed tarzan for cheap" just to find out that the phrase has no traffic.
