Is Ethererum a good competitor of Bitcoin ?

Bitcoin value has increased so fast in last few months. Hope it will increase more. But what are the best competitors of Bitcoin? Is it good to invest in Ethererum ? Is Ethererum a good competitor of Bitcoin ? What do u think is its value going to increase fast like bitcoin?

ETH looks really promising, its yet to be seen in the coming months after it goes into POS, some speculate the price will skyrocket and could be the next big thing after btc.

But as i said it yet to be seen.
 
Yes. But interesting thing to notice is whenever btc value increase Eth value increases. and whenever btc value falls down Eth value decreases with it as well.
 
Yes, in my opinion, ETH will replace BTC as the main cryptocoin people use.

Is it safe to keep Eth in blockchian (as Blockchain is offering Eth wallet now) for future? I mean what if buy Eth uptp $1000 Eth and keep them in Blockchain for future. I know I may get loss if value goes down just. But in perspective of security is it safe to keep coins in Blockchain for long time?

For big amounts use offline wallets.
 
I would totally recommend buying ETH if you have money, in 1-2 years the price will skyrocket
 
I don't think so, no coin is able to compete BTC.

The reason is very simple, look at charts, and the way cryptos move, must all popular currencies follow BTC, if BTC drop, all drop, sometimes, if BTC goes up, others stable and don't go up, or they goes down.

I can tell you that they all follow BTC, and BTC you can't compete it.

That's my point.
 
Bitcoin is going to be more valuable as soon as there is none left to mine the value will increase drastically !

That's a very long way off though. Don't hold out for that lol

Ethereum is good tech but I worry that without Ico's propping it up the price will struggle.
 
Nothing is competing with BTC, thats for sure. Still, ETH is a pretty decent coin by all accounts and I guess its the number 2 in crypto?

I also have a similar question about RIPPLE / XRP. What do you guys think about that coin? It seems strange to me that its got so much volume, but still price is pretty low...

That's because of the high supply. I doubt that Ripple will hit 1$+ in the near future.

It's got U$ 8 billion market cap. Not comparable to Bitcoin but still that's pretty large. A 1% increase in XRP means U$ 83 million.
 
Everyone can speculate but when have you seen a store or e-commerce shop accept any cryptocurrency except Bitcoin?
