[Journey] Will Youtube earn me $10 a day?

Hi, I am called Anwar from Ethiopia.

I started to earn from the internet 7-8 months ago. Tbh, so far I am not doing good. I started my journey with freelancing. I was a translator in Fiverr and Upwork for about 7 months. Freelancing earned me around $1000 in total. I then decided to move on to passive income. I bought domain and hosting. I did all the work on my blog and applied for adsense. I got approved and started to get traffic from my facebook page. The traffic was not much due to some changes in Facebook algorithm.

Enough about my story, today I decided to start a journey on Youtube. I saw a lot of people doing great on YouTube and decided to give it ago.

As of now, I created a new youtube channel and uploaded 6 short videos.

Total views = 675
Subscribers = 3
Earnings = $0

I have a plan to upload 3 videos a day. I use camtasia studios to make my videos. I don't have a specific niche. I just made random videos which I find interesting related to my country.

I have a suffient knowledge about SEO. And will try to implement it on my videos.

With this journey, I have 3 Goals.
Goal #1 - $5 per day
Goal #2 - $10 per day
Goal #3 - $20 per day

I will update my progress daily or every 2 days. I will work untill I accomplish my goals.

At last, I have a question for you guys.

You can only start monetization when your channel reach total view of 10k. This seems high for a new channel. So, should I buy 9k HR viewsto get to the minimum views threshold before monetization?

Good luck mate, if you want to succeed I suggest you to make high quality videos instead of spamming videos on the channel. People love few high quality contents, but it also depends on the niche.

May I use short funny videos from facebook pages, add my intro to it, and post on youtube channel? Probably that videos already are on youtube, alone or in long compilations, but would YT make problems about it? I can make video speed little slow or fast to avoid YT restrictions if they would complicated about it? Thanks.

I want to beat the competition. If I target worldwide audience, the compition will be hard for a new channel.

I would advice you to make compilations of these videos you collected.
You can upload your videos by playing with the speed, but it won't be long term. Your channel will get banned after a while.

Subscribers = 4 (+1)
Earning = $0

Since my views are not sufficent enough, I can't monetize now.

I know. But getting views on YouTube are so much easier than getting traffic to your website.

I am not sure but I think you will be struck by copyright content. The cartoons must not be online, which is unlikely to happen.

i would think that targeting your own country, Ethiopia, would not earn you very much at all in advertising revenue. doesnt Ethiopia have one of the lowest CPM's in the world?

Yes, you are right. I will only target my country untill I gain some subscribers. Also, 40% of my traffic is from USA. There are more than one million Ethiopians there.

It will definitely rank according to the keyword. There is no such limit.
