It's in my top 10 favorite movies of all time now. I've always been a Stephen King fan (read The Stand and The Dark Half at age nine...). Incredible blend of comedy, jump scares, and psychological horror. I haven't been so wrapped into a movie in the actual theater since Cloverfield.

I've yet to watch it. Been putting it off for some time now. The guys think it doesn't live up to its hype.

It's on my list of must watch films. Even though the acting was terrible I enjoyed the original IT mini series. I also think Stephen King is a brilliant writer.

Never managed to finish any of the books because they're just too damn long but I would like to read The Stand, I believe the tv adaptation didn't do the book justice.
 
What's so special about "no country for old men"? I know its up there in the IMDB rankings but I watched it and there was nothing special about it. The only thing that was special was that "Captive Bolt Pistol".

I read the book of IT around the same age, but my teacher at the time sent a letter home to my mum and dad telling them I couldn't bring the book in to school :-)

Hmm, fight club very good, and no country for old men very good film as well.

You should look up the three burials of melquiades estrada it's another great film, not as violent as ncfom but it has some similarities.

I probably wouldn't have watched IT, but if you are comparing it to the films in your list I might have to check it out.

Was IT better than the 1990 TV Series? I enjoyed that until the end, which was shit.

Watched the old IT movie. It seems the new one is scarier, but i like the old Pennywise
