Do I get a dedicated IP address with my VPS account?

A dedicated IP will come with it.

Well for dedicated IP, you need to ask the VPS people. You wont get it for free as per my knowledge..

Almost all VPS come with a dedicated IP. I can't think of a host off the top of my head that give shared IP for a VPS system. But the best person to ask would be the host you are getting the VPS from.

It is not true that all VPS give dedicated IPs, it depends and can be granted in many cases.

If you have a VPS than you already have a dedicated IP.
You want to purchase another additional IP ?
OP's best to ask the provider, I'd have thought.

Really ? Can you give an example please or explain how a VPS can work on a shared IP than ?
Does 2 people receive root access to that VPS ? What happens when 1 wants to install windows and the other wants to install Linux on that VPS ?
It really does not, all VPS get a dedicated IP.

Perhaps I got mixed up between VPN and VPS. But, I am proud of myself that when I get mixed up, I admit it directly and humbly, unlike many "I am always right" we find here and there.
