We're actually warring with the AV companies on your behalf whenever we see this issue come up. The issue has come up on a few occasions, and every time, we go back and forth with them until they fix the issue. The issue gets fixed, and then the AV companies make another change a year or two later. Believe me that we do everything we can to keep the AV companies off your back.

While we do everything we can, it is ultimately the responsibility of the developer to hassle the AV companies. We will continue to fight on your behalf, but the more people who put pressure on the AV companies, the more likely they are to actually fix their algorithms. By submitting your software to the AV companies, they will whitelist your software, and you shouldn't have to worry about users running into the issue anymore. Doing this will solve your AV issues, and it also gives us more evidence to fight the AV companies with.

Regarding the core functionality, these are difficult decisions to make for a software company. Too many features can create software bloat, which makes the software run slower and makes maintenance a lot more complicated. The best route for us and for any software company (imho) is to focus on doing a few things and doing them well.

No one is forcing anyone to buy plugins, and most of our users meet all of their needs without ever needing any plugins. I realize that you're a more advanced user, and that you need a different feature set, and that's why we developed a powerful api - to allow advanced users to find greater functionality.

Please understand, over the years, people have suggested hundreds, maybe thousands, of features. Some people even get really upset when their features don't get implemented. But we can't possibly implement everything - if we did it would cost many millions of dollars and several decades of dev time. Almost every feature we've ever added has come directly from feature requests, and yes, that includes the recent video functions.

We do take customer issues very seriously, and we put a lot of effort into making sure that UBot Studio is solid and effective for all of our users. If we haven't achieved that for you and your specific use cases, I deeply apologize. It's true that because UBot Studio meets the needs of so many diverse users in so many diverse use cases, because it is intended to be a universal botting tool, there will be some fringe use cases that require some extra challenge. Just understand that we are always working to provide the best features to the most people as we can. And we are always working to tease out bugs, whether they creep in from chrome, or from the UBot Studio code itself.

But hey, I really don't want to get into a flame war in my sales thread. Would it be alright for us to talk over PM?

Yes I always have a problem with AV false virus warnings from potential clients especially when I am giving out FREE-DEMO bots to the masses.. This results in loss of sales I hope this gets fixed soon...

I'm using Ubot now for 5 months. The software has his problems but it does the trick. The biggest issue is and that is also mine own mistake not reporting the bugs so they can troubleshoot the problem.
So mine verdict is if your not a hardcore programmer and want a good (personal) bot that does exact what YOU want. Build it and use it tools. It has a learning curve with some sites but the forum has almost all the answers.

Sounds great, but can you confirm that this update fixes the sloppiness of the last few updates, including the thread issue mixed by Heopas, and the Start/Run buttons still showing when compiled as hidden? I'm less interested in new features and more interested in improvements in the existing framework.

For Heopas' issue, I'll need to see the ticket in order to give more information, but I do recall looking into something like that a while ago. If I remember correctly (and I might not) he's talking about an issue where the ui becomes temporarily becomes unresponsive when doing very heavy multithreading, if the debugger is enabled. This is because the ui thread has to lock in order to update the debugger. Again I'll have to see the ticket to know for sure, but I think the workaround was to turn off auto refresh in the debugger.

I looked into the other issue, and you're right, this a visual glitch that affects compiled bots with the "hide run bar" option set in developer edition. I'll see if I can take a look in a day or two to see what's going on there, and I'll try to get a patch out for that issue.

Thread lock issue appear in compiled bots too. My tests shows that everything stuck not just UI.

Honestly, and although UBOT seems an excellent product, I think we need to adopt a full disclosure policy for bugs.

There is nothing more annoying than buying a product which has a big bug in it, especially when it has been reported a long time ago. Seriously, the product is expansive. A big bug as described and not corrected in due time is a no-go for me.
Personnally I would prefer to see the answer: "Yes, it is now our priority, the patch is planned for XX/XX/XX" rather than:

This is a horrible answer for your business OP, even worst than the bug in itself. What does it mean? Your new users are too stupid to learn your soft quickly? I am pretty sure that if I buy the product, in less than two weeks i will see the bug myself.

So, on my side, I am not a user, I consider buying the product, but I would like first to thank @phr0zt to raise the bell and to bring light on the issue.

He did, very much looking forward to getting these issues resolved since they're important and long overdue for a fix - then I'll pay for updates. Until then, it sucks that an older version is the best option, but you gotta do what you gotta do.

So, I want to make clear to anyone who doesn't already own UBot Studio - the issues presented here affect our very advanced users, who have been using UBot Studio for a long time. They are still very important and I don't want to dismiss them at all. These kinds of complaints are just very misleading to newer users, who are less likely to be affected by this kind of issue.

If you were giving an fair and honest review of the software, and pointing out that there are some glitches that may affect advanced users, that would be a more appropriate use of this space. Bonus points if you do it while also letting people know how much it's helped your business! But being a long time user of UBot Studio and using our sales thread as a vehicle to air complaints about specific bugs that affect a small subset of users is inappropriate, and I'm pretty sure it's also a violation of blackhatworld's TOS.

As previously stated, I'm happy to take a look at these issues for you. I'm also happy to see honest reviews in our thread (ones that aren't backhanded attempts at controlling our dev schedule . But from now on, please contact me about this stuff directly with these kinds of specific issues.

I hardly call bringing to light issues that are almost 1 year old and still unresolved either of those things.

I'm not trying to get on your bad side by airing these issues in public, they've been reported for almost 1 year not been resolved, so I think it would be nice to see current issues resolved before adding a bunch of new features.

If voicing an opinion as a paying customer of the software and long-time member of this forum is violation, then something is wrong.

Again, not trying to cause problems, Ubot is definitely awesome for automation, but I don't believe members who have been on board for a while should be ignored when earlier versions worked well.

My intention when posting my initial reply was not to derail the sales thread and discussion.

Honestly, Ubot is an amazing platform, and I love that I can build advanced bots with all the bells and whistles (proxy support, multi-threading, sockets, etc.) in record time vs building from scratch in c#.

I've saved way more $ than the amount I've spent on the software by recreating other bots I've seen & automating a bunch of boring tasks, so that's pretty much invaluable.

Are there a few quirks? Sure - but that's the case with most software. There hasn't been an issue I've hit yet that I haven't found a workaround for, and the two issues I mentioned earlier are not nearly enough to prevent me from using Ubot on a daily basis.

So bottom line: I'm excited to see a bunch of new features added, and I'm glad the platform is being enhanced. If you don't currently have a license, I highly recommend buying one (especially while it's on sale), it's worth every penny.

To be clear, UBot Studio, for its size, breadth of features, and complexity, is extremely stable. There are some bugs from time to time, as there are with any large, complex software system (for instance, take a look at google chrome's bug tracker). Our customers and their concerns are very important to us, and we want to make sure everyone is using a product that works well for them. When we have bugs that are affecting people, we take them very seriously. Some are harder to fix than others and take time. But UBot Studio is generally a highly stable ecosystem capable of meeting the needs of 99.9% of users. For the other .1%, we're on it
