Gary Illyes statement on expired domains

From someone that plays with a lot of PBN's have you noticed anything after quickly building a PBN and dropping a link to your money site shortly after?

Yeh, the results seem to be a bit better if you let the domain age a bit. However, that has more to do with the overall age of the website, rather than some "PBN prevention" imo.

When and where did he say this? I can't find news about this anywhere.

But i am not surprised if they do it though, this will be done sooner or later.

Google already do this for ages. Matt Cutts or somebody else said so like 10 years ago. Gary Ilyes simply revamps old stuff and reposts this stuff on his twitter to keep SEOs in the dark. Just the other day he was talking about DMOZ links when DMOZ had already been taken down. He's just spreading disinformation, like all other Google reps do.

Folks simply don't realize that these people's job is to keep SEOs completely lost. Why does anyone take whatever Google says literally? Their mission is to completely mess up the game of SEO so you can't A/B test or confirm/deny anything.

If it is so easy for google to see a domain was dropped, registered again and re-purposed why don't they cut off all of the link juice of such domain? Imo it is an obvious sign a site is used as a PBN however expired domains still work..

Because:

1. They don't give a fuck about a few hundred people who wouldn't buy their ads anyway. Not worth it investment wise.
2. There would be shittons of collateral for regular people if they did it.

And please, stop gravedigging threads, especially super shit ones that should remain buried for generations to come.
