What are your thoughts on this?
I have seen the future; SEO is not in it.
SEO is over when the mother fucking God Of SEO says so.
This is reasonable.
It must be true.
Not sure if serious or sarcastic... This community confuses the hell out of me
tell it to the japanese. they rape too much expireds
This is how PBN with expired domains dies.
I have been wondering why they didn't do this since 1996 ?? Why would they choose now ? Was it technically complicated before etc?
With thunderous applause.
When and where did he say this? I can't find news about this anywhere.
But i am not surprised if they do it though, this will be done sooner or later.
This will most likely blow up in their faces
Would be interesting, since the only one doing hangouts is John, I don't remember Gary appearing in any office hours hangout at all.
Expireds and PBNs are around for ages and Google always tried to get rid of them, with very limited success. Their biggest win was probably the crush of ALN and BMR in 2012, followed by the de-indexation of some huge agency networks a few years later. These networks all had a problem, they were at least semi-public. I think it's pretty complicated to devalue expireds on a large scale without risking huge collateral damage and I highly doubt we'll see an algorithm like this. If it would be as easy as "if domain drops -> take away all juice" they would have done it long ago.
Ah..good ol' days. ALN made me tons of money. The owner is still active on BHW........
So many statements and ideas in the SEO community, 90% 0f which are mere assumptions.
87% of statistics are made up on the spot
I think that this has already happened. Even though PBNs are still working after FRED, they seem to be a bit less effective... seems like it could be due to that exact reason.
Sure, they have killed PBNs around 5 or 6 times by now already, can't remember exactly.
This is the logical next step for Google. If they do this, they will kill one of the best ways to manipulate their search engine.
From someone that plays with a lot of PBN's have you noticed anything after quickly building a PBN and dropping a link to your money site shortly after?
Separate names with a comma.
