Ahrefs showing incorrect KW position for everyone?

Hey fellow SEOS,

This post is going out to those who use Ahrefs regularly.

I've been having issues with Ahrefs showing the incorrect Keyword position for several keywords that I am tracking for a project and it isn't near as accurate as it should be.

This also doesn't seem to be small-scale: many of my campaigns have dozens of tracked keywords that ahrefs is snowing incorrectly

The distribution of these mistakes seem to be entirely random, with no discernable pattern. Some keywords are much higher IRL and appear to be Lower in Ahrefs and some Ahrefs is showing as MUCH higher than they really are.

Is anybody else experiencing this issue with ahrefs?

You mean Serplab the free serp checker? I did a google search for "serplap" and found nothing

In my experience ahrefs shows you the correct average keyword ranking.

The difference between what you see and what ahrefs reports most possibly lies in the geolocation you perform the search, or your browser's history or any other factor that affects the search results google is showing to you.

Try a search behind a vpn or a proxy and I think you will see the exact ahrefs ranking position.

My favorite tool for serp monitoring is google webmaster console, but I use it only on my "clean" websites.

For all the rest yes i think serplab is one of the best.
