Looking for a section that actually sells stuff while building a brand. Money making section is mostly about how to get people to buy services for SEO or MLM junk. Where is the section for people selling physical products? I'm not talking about drop shipping either. Also, should allow post about selling handmade too per @William702 's suggestion.

+1000. It would be a great idea to have an "all things ecommerce" subforum. I sell my own digital products and it would be great to have a section for advice is branding, treating customers, pricing models (more so with the recent events), infrastructure, advertising, etc.

This is my ultimate goal for IM. Build enough stuff to be able to have a revenue stream for my own brand.

I actually agree with this.

After 4 years here I have come to the conclusion that I suck at selling services or digital products but I can sell physical products and much prefer it.

Even though it may not be considered traditional IM, even bricks and mortar stores are selling more online than ever before these days so why not have a section for people who like to trade physical products.

The argument against could be, we have wholesale hook ups, we have eBay section but none of these discuss the various other possibilities such as sourcing products locally, making products, other online outlets, branding etc

Damien mentioned the requirements for new sections in the post below.
ANSWERED: - Thanks for the suggestion - our requirements around running up new sub-forums include relevancy. Where you can find 30+ posts made in the last 15 days on this topic, from engaged members, post them into a new thread in the forum suggestions and feedback section and we'll look into it. Where you would like a section around your brand or personal topic you will need to become an Enterprise member and then you can discuss this with your dedicated account manager.

For now, your content should be added into the dedicated CPA section

If it's physical products, do you mean as a marketplace for anyone to buy goods?

Not a marketplace, discussion for people who sell physical goods rather than digital products or services online.

Maybe this forum isn't the best place though for stuff like that actually. It's called blackhatworld for a reason and you can't really 'black hat' physical goods.

I would like to see more discussions about selling physical products though. I might start a few myself soon and gauge the level of interest.

Yeah mate this was what I was thinking, as there'll no doubt be some who want to dig into the methods to scam sellers etc and lead onto fraud and that sort of crap.

I would just like to discuss more about physical products, not trade on here.

This is definitely not the right type of marketplace for that. I've always dealt with physical goods so it's a more comfortable area for me. Scams and fraud shouldn't happen because there would be no trading of goods.

I see what you mean though, there will always be the ones who will try to circumvent the rules by offering stuff for sale and there is no way to tell if it's legit or not unlike the marketplace here which is heavily moderated.

Thanks buddy! We should all start working on seeing if there is more interest by following this method.

No, not marketplace. I don't believe this is etsy, but like a make money section for physical goods

Yup, yup. This is blackhatworld, but we really don't talk about hacking or other blackhat methods other than link building and bots. I think I will go with you and start making some posts and see if we have an interest here. Not sure about any other forum that does this other than ones dedicated to websites like etsy and shopify, but I use blackhat on my shops and would like to see discussions like the ones here, but more specifically with physical products.

Oddly enough there are plenty of posts on arbitrage which would be a close cousin of our subject.

There has been one today but it was concerning buying cheap used gear on Facebook and reselling on eBay.

I'm not really into buying used products unless I know I can make a decent profit but it's basically the same principle, buy low sell high.

Only problem on here is most of the newbies are looking for passive income which you just cannot have if you're handling physical products yourself.

Digital goods are much easier to hold. My whole basement is products from my shops.
