Youtube - popular music monetization - copyright?!

Started this thread to get once and forever answer about Youtube copyright music.

Hope this thread will help a lot of people get answer to their question!

How We can use popular music in youtube?

I know in theory that if changing tempo/pitch, volume, use someone remix, add some new sounds to the song and it will not get caught by youtube or it will take a long to get caught.
Or using like someones tell 20 seconds is OK, some tells 30 seconds is OK to use.

Thats very good advice, but my question is still the same.
HOW can we use popular songs in our youtube videos?

Why Im asking is because there are a million of bloggers/youtubers who use the most popular songs in their vides with no TEMPO/PITCH, VOLUME, REMIX changes.

Maybe I don't realise that the tempo or volume are changed, but Im sure there are 99% who still use original sound of song.

But Why they don't get flagged or banned?
And don't tell me that they will get flagged! There are a tons of you tubers who used in past, use right now and will be using in future original popular songs.

Ok, Maybe there are some guys who got in touch with some label and got permission.
But still there are hundreds who are not getting any premissions using songs and have 1M+ subscribers.
How its possible?
Do youtube open some secret music section after you get lot of subscribers? I don't think so.
Even If you buy some royalty free subscribtion you will never ever get popular songs to use!

And if you want to tell that they don't monetize those videos, please DON'T! I see the advertises while watching their vlogs.

OK maybe some songs you can use to monetize but the money will go to record/lable who have released this song. But Still I don't think that youtubers want to give THEIR money to some labels.
Maybe few videos they do like that but not all!

So question still stays.

That's where you're wrong. They don't monetize the video, there is only advertises because of the song.

I explain, if you put a popular song in your video youtube, there is 2 types of copyrights, the first one is "fuck you, you don't use my song", and the second one is "fuck you, you can use it but I put ads on your video and I get the money".

That's where you're wrong. They don't monetize the video, there is only advertises because of the song.

I have read the policies(not everything ofcourse... maybe I should?) and seen the video where Glove and Boots explain in detail.

Let me know make you some very random and very bad example.

Vlogers with 150k subscrigers make 15min video where explaing about their traveling. In the 15min video they will put lets say 1 min long Popular song with very cool views from drone to show where they live.

Now lets think, everybody...

If they have to choose: make video 14min and get money form adsense (because with their subscribers they will get min 50k views, its not big money what they will get but still money)
or they will make 15 min video where they will LOOSE all their money and let SPAM their vlog with ad.
(why I say spam with ad is because they will not get revenu from it, so why not to make clean video without ad. for example to get more retention. Who knows maybe because of the ad the viewer will close their video)

Yes there is those guys who are using song and giving away money!!! And thats FACT!!

But DON'T you tell me that everyone is doing like that. Im more that sure that 99% youtubers ARE NOT doing this scheme! Cmon be realistic who want to giveaway money...

2. My channel is of the music niche.. What i do is i send a pm to the record label... They give me permission to use the song but they get to put ads on it and make money and so i started uploading Unreleased music by decently famous artists thus being able to put ads and getting good views

Do you do music videos yourself that you need popular music?
Because if no they how will you get views if the content in video is crap but sound i good.
And Isn't it hard to rank in youtube because new song will be in Very high comp. keyword.
Viewers will never find your video in youtube.

Do you boost your video also with HR views and then let it flow?
Do you still use this method?
Or right now you have good amount of subscribers that now you can make something that you could monetize?

I use Adobe after effects to create a Visualizer for the song and upload that as my video (almost exactly like trap nation)

As i said i release music which haven't come out yet.. Getting the music early is pretty hard.. So there will be very few uploads but a lot of searches.. My content being better than the competition will rank

Yup every time i upload.. I boost it with 800 views via ytmonster.net the rest are real organic moneterized views

I still have very less subscribers but i get an average of 10-30k views daily most of my viewers are from good seo

Yeah this is good method and I was suggesting the same earlier, Target small artists they wont create much problem since in the end their video is getting infront of big audience but yeah its hard to find them. Maybe tie up with local bands or artists.
