Assume you're 10 years old in 1617, so you have about 30 years to make the most in life.

I was thinking about this question at first I was like, I'd just steal shit, but realistically you couldn't steal enough to get rich could you?

Ummm Hello! You would know the outcome of every major sporting event and historic even for the next 30 years. You could get rich by gambling, predicting the future, etc. Myself, I would invent shit that they don't have yet. Television, internet, etc. So many ways to get rich if you could time travel... Then just work and invest in gold, or just impress all of them with my medical knowledge and bring modern medicine to them and earn a ton of gold doing that.


orrr just use my current knowledge to make them think I am some kind of divinity. (to make them think that I know how human body works and all parts of it, and what each plant does (medical plants) because i created it all with my mind)

I'n 2 years I'll be a doctor I am almost done with university so I need to find a thing I am good ad (in this case medicine) and try to make $$ out of it.

everyone is good at something different, but anything brought back 300y ago would be a big thing that you can earn from.

I don't know, money making opportunities weren't looking so hot for people with brown skin in North America during the early 1600s. Colonists were destroying Indian settlements and the first slaves arrived in Virginia only a couple of years later in 1619. Chances are I'd get lumped in with one of those two groups and forced into slavery.

I suppose I'd be a pirate. The early 17th century wasn't exactly the golden age of piracy, but it beats the hell out of the alternative.

Wait, better yet, going back in time and convincing people that I'm a minor deity with a few "predictions" and 21st century "magic" sounds more like something I'd do. I could just kick back, relax, and enjoy a life of luxury in a world that predates modern toilet paper.

The bonus of pretending to be a minor deity is that there's a chance you'll be written about in the history books. "Zwielicht The Sky God" doesn't sound half bad.
