Why My Rankings Aren't Increasing? SEO expert needed

Hello.

I started my first amazon affiliate site 6 months ago. this is my first affiliate site as well. the competition is medium, not hard.

I published 22 Articles on my site on avg of 1000 word count. I did some Web 2.0s, blog comments, forum links. social signals. PBN links. and managed to bring my keywords in between position #9 to #20 . out of 22 keywords, 15 are ranking in 2nd page.

Now, i'm trying hard to push the keywords on first page. I did some PBN links to one of the keyword ranking on #9 and it jumped to #6. but went back to #9. I thought it was a google dance and waited for a week to see if the rank got improved but it won't.

I again did some PBN links and same thing happened. Keyword moved to #6 but went back to #9 again within 24 hours.

I would really appreciate if someone would help a way to get into top 3. IF any information needed. Ask below and I'll be happy to provide for the sake.

You are at #9 so you are doing something right, I would just keep at it. Add more content and get more links

Btw, did you buy links from a pbn service on here?

Sounds like you need some better links. Like... actual editorial and legit links. Not spam.

You could have some technical SEO issues holding you back. Or maybe your page speed sucks. Did you make sure all your outbound affiliate links are nofollow?

Do we have to make the affiliate links no follow? I am creating a site with amazon affiliate links but I thought that having too many no-follow affiliate links would be a bad.

Already did 10 links mate. As I said, Keyword is moving up and went back to previous position. stucked at #9. I'll add more content and through some social signals as well. thinking to do 10 web 2.0s with tier 2 and 3 links. What is your thought about it?

All affiliate links are nofollow. and authority outbounds links are do-follow. Things to add more content and more web 2.0s with tiers. This might help a bit.

Add more content, build more links and wait longer. Your rankings would improve but dont be aggressive or you will lose your existing rankings.

Sounds like you're on the right track.

One technical thing I'd look at if you haven't already is if you only have one version of your URL that can be visited, ie:

http
https
www
or non-www

are all redirected to one version of your URLs is your preferred URL and match your canonicals, and your XML sitemap URLs match those too. So if you can load multiple version of your URL, consolidate them with your .htaccess file if you're on an apache server.

Web 2.0's, PBNs, and other links you mentioned are useful for passing PageRank/link juice. No doubt about that.

But the power of a good editorial link is impressive. I've had new pages with no traffic and rankings move up with one good, legitimate, high quality editorial link. I'm lucky enough to have the budget and team to acquire links like this, and they always have a good effect for me on a page by page basis. Also, having some high quality links like this will help balance out the lower links that you've already acquired. Some of us that are highly focused on link building tend to hold the opinion that a diverse and natural backlink profile is the way to go; and all PBN, Web 2.0 and etc tend not to tell a story of quality and diversity.

The only problem is that high quality links from highly authoritative sites are not easy to get. So it'll cost you either a lot of time or money.

I am in the same situation and it has been so frustrating. I am currently at #6 for one keyword and in second and third pages for the rest.
Tried pbns, web 2.0 and cannot move. Been like that since april.
I got some guest posts on july, hope that gets me some improvements.

You just need to keep pushing it, the same happened to me for several projects. It's only a matter of time. And btw, sometimes you need a lot more links than you think, just check the competition.
