Any film enthusiast?

1. The man from Earth
2. My sassy girl
3. Doryan Gray
4. Leon
5. Predestination

Enjoy!

Great selection! Only one I haven't see is "my sassy girl", but if we're talking Korean mystery/fuckedup movies, I'll suggest Oldboy (not for the faint-hearted emotionally frail - you have been warned).

I've been trying to catch up with this trend about giving yourself a personal challenge every year. I had a little inconvenient but I'm ready to set the ball rolling.

So this year I didn't plan anything big or complex. I've had this idea about starting to appreciate cinema a lot more for quite some time. I've Always been a fan of movies but haven't seen much of classic stuff.

I'd like to hear suggestions about your favorite movies or anything you recommend. Here's my top 5 list if anyone is curious (not in order):
  • Fight club
  • Inception
  • The Accountant
  • The Godfather
  • The Godfather II
Any comment/suggestion is welcome!:)

Finally found this thread.

Found one of my favorite movies. It's called The Man From Nowhere. It's a foreign film.

Now before everyone starts bitching about not being able to look at movies in another language or read subtitles while watching a movie (seriously??), hear me out.

It's about a guy that used to be some army badass but is now retired or something. This little girl gets attached to him and he gets attached to her. She gets kidnapped and he has to beat the shit out of a ton of people to get to her and rescue her.

Sounds typical, right?

It is so not typical.

If you like action films, and martial arts, watch this movie. It is a total mindfuck. I actually went out and bought it; took me forever to find a copy of the damn thing. I first saw it on Netflix. It might still be there.

I first saw it a year ago. My mom recommended it to me. And now I'm going to watch it again.

@Reaver

South Korean Movies are great and The Man From Nowhere has really awesome martial art stunts.

I also highly recommend

The Yellow Sea
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1230385/

Yes! I am a big, big fan of South Korean movies. They have these mind blowing plot twists and crazy action sequences that make me think America needs to step up its game in the film industry.

I will def watch that. Thanks for the rec.

Anyone seen the movie "There Will Be Blood" with Daniel Day-Lewis

I've been dying to see it for quite awhile now but never come around to see movies these days!

Is it worth watching?
