This thread went from BH SEO to "stfu noob" to "I make more miney than you" to "wtf you talkin bout Willis?" in 15 pages.

The only thing I got out of it is I'm either an idiot, a noob, broke, or all three, and bc of this I must live in my mother's basement.

I'm so glad I read this.

I wish my mother had a basement that I could live in, but alas, she lives in an apartment.

The fuck? 10's of thousands? since 2007......--- If you know any math that looks like you must have lived like a begger or would be better off signing on lol
Not to brag but ive made 100's of thousands per year since 2007

First you say youve been having bh success since 2007 then you say when you got on this forum which is per your join date in 2014

what people not do to look "cool" online

Also dont insult people without knowing them :)

So i wasn't the only one that caught that lol.. He claims to have made tens of thousands in about 10 years that fucking sad.

If i were to average out just one of my IM ventures which i currently still own since 2007 that business alone has made me well over 800K..

GTFO this forum noob it's a better place without assholes like you.

Haha sheeeeat I'm sorry guys. I am a douche I accept that. Let me clarify. This isn't my first BHW account for starters. I found SENuke here in like 2009. Started a business using pure SENuke in 2010 and made like 10k per month for 8 months before I tanked it all from being a foolish 24yr old boy with too many clients. That number was sexy for me and it was like...no work at all to get that 80k. After that I used the experience of running my own business on the CV to get work as an enterprise account manager for a few digital agencies making mad bank for a few years, in the meantime I ran a VPN service to let expats watch the iplayer n shit and was making about 1/2k per month doing that for a couple of years but 0 SEO in there. Then a couple of years ago built another business which has made it about 2 years so far turning 15k per month using a lot of custom PBNs and tiered linking. I never said I'm some super amazing blackhatter - I just said I've made a lot of money from BH SEO and that it certainly still works, I thought Jacker818 was saying it didn't work anymore but the language and points I used were unfair and I made some unfair judgements based on spurious observations.

Fair enough Jacker818 if you're some millionaire now via BH, I definitely don't compete with that! xD My apologies for mistaking you as a noob.

Please all accept my apologies for being a drunken cancerous douche. It's not who I am. I blame the black design of this forum, it brings out the darkside in me xD

It is a serious question, is BLACKHAT SEO dying out slowly? Since begining of this year (2017) its taking even longer than before to see the impact of backlinks and mostly the alghoritms catch up on everything, I'm serious, buying links still works but you have to spend so much $$$ to even move and to get to top 5 is costing enormous amounts of money (for medium - low competition keywords)

Seriously, even low comp keywords are taking soooo long to see any effect and its getting tougher and tougher soon it will come to the point that it will be too expensive to even move to 2nd page and not profitable anymore, which of course is the point of all this.

Google adwords taking so many spaces on 1st page that is it becoming ridicilous, seriously by end of 2018 BLACKHAT SEO might get too expensive except enormous agencies with clients with deep pockets.

What are your thought, seriously Im asking this, don't troll ffs.

Whitehat still works and will work in future, but earning some serious $$ is going to take you eternity.

I agree with you partially. I dont think it is dying completely but has definitely become harder compared to earlier.
Earlier, to rank a brand new website or an existing website all I need to do is buy the RIGHT services from BHW and at the right intervals. My job is done. I could have ranked any key words low, medium, high competition. I have set of BHW services tried and tested over the years, for each type of keyword at each difficulty level which can give results.
All I have to do is: do my keyword research,do on page properly and buy services from BHW.I have ranked more than 30+ websites with this strategy.

But now things seems to be different. The strategy mentioned above does not work as efficiently as it used. The results are very slow. Traditional PBNs wouldn't help much.
However, I still follow the same strategy. But this time I have to re invest my time in finding the right services that work with the current trends and updates.
I am sure whatever algorithmic changes that might happen over the web, BHW will always innovate and come up with updated services.

Adding to it, I personally feel that trends in marketing have drastically changed both online and offline.
Online marketing has become more personalized and localized.
Localized :
The inclusion of google map results in google search.
More advertising shift towards mobile app based advertising, to cater user at user's location.
All online/social media platforms support and encourage content tagging with locations.

Personalized :
I am not a kind of person who would respond to the kind discussions that we are currently having on this thread.I wouldn't even click on the ad, if the same question(Is black hat SEO dying? Know more) would have been posted as an ad.
What made me interested in this thread is a personalized alert from Diamond Damien's account about this thread. Here the content is not king, but the influencer is.
One of my friends recent influencer marketing strategy on instagram has yielded terrific results in 30 days, which a traditional SEO will give in 3-6 months time.
I personally feel SEO itself has become very dynamic in recent times and is constantly evolving.

P.s : Sorry for the grammar and randomness in expression :)

Apology accepted Sir Hernry IV. Time to get back to work and make internet millions. :p

Here's the problem with framing the "death" of BH SEO relative to time and speed.

It is true that back in 2013 you could buy a service for $100 / month and rank #1 in 3-4 weeks for some of the most competitive terms in the world.
But there's another TRUE fact about this time frame that noone ever talks about.

That fact being, as fast as I (or you) could use that same strategy, rank sites fast and make easy money.... YOUR COMPETITION WAS DOING THE SAME THING.

People think of 2012-2013 like the golden era of BH. But those years were incredibly volatile and everyone knows this.

As fast and easy as you could rank #1 I could slip in and outrank you a week later.

Now there's far LESS volatility which means far more sustainability. Where it takes much much longer to get to the top that means ONCE YOU GET THERE you're staying there
for a long fucking time.

Furthermore, there are really small changes that could be made which if accomplished would change the entire nature of SEO. Same as the space race. Everyone kept saying
the space race was "dead" until Elon Musk came in and engineered a new rocket that reduced the cost of thrust by >>>90%.

Now imagine that happening with PBNs. Most the cost of "thrust" with PBNs isn't the scraping or metrics or even the content it's the time required for a human to pick THE DOMAINS.
I waste more time analyzing domains than anything I can think of.

But what happens when some disgruntled ex-Google employee starts investing money (or tradecraft) into AI and makes a program that can pick domains better than Google or any
human alive?

Imagine if that happened tomorrow. Imagine if Russia hacked Google than leaked the code to their algorithm right online? Just IMAGINE.

Very small changes can wreak massive disruptions that fundamentally flip the game and put tons of leverage back in our hands. We know because its already happened.

Let's go back to the era before Senuke or GSA were ever invented. Imagine me back then talking like I am now. How some incredible innovation could turn the tides and make money
rain on noobs who DON'T KNOW SHIT ABOUT SEO. People would think I'm crazy. Right until the day both those programs were released, money started to pour and everyone
simultaneously realized just how dumb Googles algo really was.

So again. We're talking in 2017 like this can't happen again but it can. It likely will. And I think the smartest thing we can do as a community is help identify where most of that "thrust" is
actually being lost. And also agree on basic things that software will never do.

Like the age of a domain as a factor of thrust. It is WELL WORTH IT to spend $10-$20 today so you have a 1-2 yr old domain in the future to start dropping links vs a brand new
domain which has to be one of the first red flags Google looks for. In most cases a 3 month old domain shouldn't have many (if any) links at all.

This is why I buy a surplus of domains it costs $10 / yr per domain just to hold them. Go out and buy more domains than you need. Then maybe this forum can start to debate and
coalesce around new ideas like crowdfunding. This is a marketing forum many of us share the same objectives. And where I understand we all compete it's really not a bad idea to start
pooling money for R&D. There should be brilliant engineers on this forum who pitch brilliant ideas, we let the freemarket & forum carve off some fat then crowdfund our money and
help get new ideas off the ground.

Algorithms aren't written only in code. They're written into our minds, how we think and adapt to new scenarios it's this algorithm in our brains we need to use more.

What I know is that ONPage hasnt as much influence as before. for my kw all top 10 sites (except mine, which is #6) dont even have exact match in meta title, nor url, nor metadescription. Then why they rank for it?

The Blackhat is not dying and will always evolve. But its getting harder. Google is using a lot of machine learning lately and their systems are getting clever and starting to mimick humans. So unlike a traditional alogirthm which works based on certain conditions, factors and logic the machine learning & deep learning systems have evolved to the point where they can understand user context and intent. That's your answer. I have been using a lot of blackhat for some time and I agree with you that it is harder than ever before. My advise is to mix it up. Use PBN and blackhat tactics when necessary and focus more on users, content and good quality links.

SEO in general is based on the web 1.0 ie semantics, SMM is based on the web 2.0 ie shares and signals... the web 3.0 interlocks all engagement on the web across all platforms using timestamped null tokens on a blockchain.

In the future we'll all learn finally that content really is king. We won't be able to force people to percieve value based on semantics, links, ranks, botted signals, or shares. A decentralized search engine will take what is now like a phone book, and turn it into a zero-ad library with 24/7 automated serps, because EVERYTHING will be timestamped and marked with value ALL the time.

Social signals & links.. KW density has been dead for years hasn't it?

I don't agree. It all depends on what niche you are working on and how much you got power to dominate. It's a game. In my point of view there is no point even bother with whitehat seo ? What really is it ? lol ?
Following web masters guidelines? Just look up your competitor sites and you will see how many of them really follow webmaster guidance aka so called whitehat. I used to use scrapebox for blog comment blasting but now for scraping and all the other things. People say scrapebox died nah ...i guess they are not just capable how to use and what kind of things it can be done ? That is exactly like similar to this question. I am on multiple niches and all i do is testing different strategies and if something works i do apply to my money site.

Google has been increasing indexing time ratio often..that being said it doesn't mean its no way to rank..Also SEO changes it's like our life... I have seen many failur people and claiming its hard to win seo game ....today also some people saying while others getting great results with seo.

I am spending over $400 for all the captchas , proxies , serengines , gsa ser servers etc and i am earning 700% ROI along with few sites....so i can't say its not a worth shot.

I don't like FB or others...but i like to rank fb fan pages

Follow/ spyt test and apply.

SEO or IM not for lazy people or hypers :) Work hard.

Cheers!

You are exactly correct.

It has been pay to play for the past few years but now it is becoming a VERY expensive pay to play system.

We forget that for years people have milked organic google without having to pay a penny.

Google is a business and will milk it as much as possible with ads.

I work with very wealthy clients who use local seo to make serious serious money. paying me a few thousand a month on retainer for backlinks is not much when just ONE sale means hundreds of dollars of profit.

What you are really seeing is the erosion of easy, highly saturated marketing like affiliate marketing, adsense etc as profit margins were ALWAYS thin but you didn't have to pay for organic search rankings.

Now you do.

That simple :)

Nice responses guys.

Still it's bumping lol :D so OP got the answer ?

Do your homework . When i call home work its mostly about Spying spying and again spying :D

ofc after taking action.

Not an expert here. But i do my self.
