It's a whole different world. I'm always amazed how many ads are on the webpages nowadays, when i use a machine, which is not mine and it has no ad blocker installed.On a more serious note: Which was first? The ads or the ad blockers? No-one cared to make (or use) any ad blocker until the ads weren't intrusive to the point where they started to seriously and negatively affect the user experience.
You can thank the existence of ad blockers to greedy webmasters and advertisers, who taught text ads aren't enough, we need blingy, moving flash ads with annoying sound possibly stuffed with malware/adware and countless popup windows. That's what pisses most people off, if there were only text ads and other non-intrusive advertising, no-one would really care to use an ad blocker.

Because fortunately there are ad blockers, with most of them you can allow non-intrusive advertising and there are whitelisted sites by default..

That's what i'm telling you, with the major ad blockers you can allow non-intrusive advertising, it's another question that people opt-out of that too. It's in their rights.

A lot of these people support content creators directly which is a way better solution than having banners all over your website. Just check out Patreon, you will see how many content creators make a lot of money from direct contributions.
When it comes to business, well it's the same. Create good content or good offers and you will get the customers.

i think web that ally together e.g. businessinsider and force their user to uninstall adblocker or disable it / green list their site is the real Shameless.

Im almost sure it was Adblocker that's was receiving payments from certain Ads company's for clean, non intrusive Ads to be pushed through to AdBlocker users.
I just hate clicking a link and having 14 pages open in my browser, but on page non intrusive ads? I don't partricularly care.
