If you have a chance to have a backlink of your site on a .edu or a .gov site. Which one you will choose? why? Which backlink is stronger? Why?

The one that gets me a hard on.
hint: backlink profile, spam free.

I will choose both.. Both are stronger strategy only.. On an debate, MattCutts stat, “Google doesn’t treat .gov or .edu domains any differently”.

Neither one is inherently stronger. I would take a .info link over either if the .info link is on a good site/page.

Both are abused and treated the same as any TLD by Google. Any TLD that has the right metrics and clean link profile is the way to go. Seen too many .gov and .edu pages with 100s of spammy links on them, not worth anything. They are spammed because people are selling spaces on these pages on the pretext the TLD is more valuable. Out of context it's not.

they are not special any more ....... look for good pages where you get a link...they must not be .gov or .edu

obviously it depends on backlink profile rather than link type, but generally gov will be stronger.

Edu and Gov links are powerful when they are from real edu blogs , not some shity profiles and spams posts.

Yup, if you're able to get a link from an offical government page or a university one they can carry weight.
Again it depends on the quality of the source, a Harvard link is better than some weird and wonderful Chinese Edu one.

both are good as getting them is really tough unless they are profile or comment links.

I'll go with .GOV if it is a contextual ******** link.

I don't know which backlink are stroger between .Gov and .Edu backlink. But Google give the priority both of backlink.

Each one strong mate.

If you create backlinks from both of .edu and .gov it's double strong :D:D

.edu and .gov links are just same as any other link, any extension can be as valuable as what you think .edu and .gov carries, some just think that they are great because they are hard to find (except those spammy profiles)

I suggest to create value at your site itself instead of looking for these type of links that "promise" great results.

I'd get .xyz.
Looks more hipster than .edu
lmao...

Both are good, but research the page you are going to link from: where the link will be placed? Will it be surrounded with text etc.?
As for the weight, both edu are gov are considered important by Google.
