Change SERPs for own name?

Hi folks,

is there a way to change the SERPs for your own name?

Let's say there is a negative entry in an evaluation portal which points at your company. That for itself is ok. Let's assume I replied kindly and thoroughly to the negative comment with my own name.

Now the problem is, that the SERPs for my name rank the negative evaluation portal thread on #1 which is not so pleasing.

Do you have an idea how to get rid of this?

Create accounts on parasites & web 2.0s with relevant high-quality information about you. Blast those with GSA (parasites can take a hit, but you could use 301 redirects if you're worried).

You could also ask the webmaster to take down the negative comment, and I'm not sure leaving a reply was the best idea, as this will only make it rank higher IMO.

Use your name throughout your companies site & blog, so your company site ranks for your name also.

Any social sites to be honest, though it depends on your niche.

Facebook, Twitter, SlideShare, etc. Anything really. Obviously if using Facebook create a separate account for work, or use a page for your business.

LinkedIn is a big one - start sharing articles relevant to your niche to get followers & it'll easily outrank most sites.

For web 2.0s, create a link wheel with relevant info on all of the sites. With a few GSA links these will be able to outrank most forum sites, etc.

Thank you very much for all the incoming tipps! I see big potential in stregthening the social profiles. Espaecially in Xing I explicitly configured in the settings, that the profile does not show up in the SERPs --> big face palm!

A new problem which arises, is the following: My personal blog, URL = firstname-lastname.com, does not show up, when I google for my name. This would be another big lever in order to kick down the negative first search result. But since all the sites of the websites are indexed I wonder why the website does not show up when I google myself. What could be possible reasons for this?
