Well, Looks like everyone missed the Arabic keyword part!

Google is different when it comes to foreign countries.. everyone knows that, and in Arabic it's algorithm still from 2009

You can get away with anything, spam, exact anchor text, anything

So, the OP wasted his time, he could have just blasted his site with GSA and he would have got better ranking

LOL I just stumbled upon this thread even though it has been quite some time since the beginning of the case study, but I was about to reply the same thing while reading the first page replies. Google is MUCH MORE tolerant in ranking foreign keywords. However, I do give credit to OP, because expired web 2.0-s, including tumblr but not only that, work very well in low competition niches for giving huge boosts in ranking.

But i have a question , when you posts photos on tumblr, where are you putting your cash blog link? In description, photo link or somewhere else?

Mix it up. You can get a non meta refresh link if you put it in the sidebar of your tumblr

WHat else should i know? I have 40 pr2 tumblr blogs. Just dont know how to use them properly.

We all seem to know the theory, but have you tested this on any website?

I have a website ranking on first page in the addiction niche for over 1 year, mostly with pr tumblrs. Other links that where made are some bookmarks and comments (real ones) on niche related blogs. Even google webmasters shows most of the links coming from tumblr.

I provided the accounts and these tumblr blogs had:
- all PR2
- all with PA+27

Haven't checked their TF or other metrics.

besides PA, do you care about the following 2 MOZ metrics
MozRank/Subdomain/Normalized
MozRank/URL/Normalized

I get these metrics, when I use SEOTOOLS in excel and check my tumblr expired accounts.

Out of curiosity, what has been the largest PA metric that you have found from expired tumblr accounts that you were able to register again?!

This is not completely right. You can't do anything like GSA spamming or anything else and rank for arabic keywords! If so, the arabic market is a very big market, why didn't you try your luck for arabic KW's ?!

And just by the way, i have ranked several sites for local seo in Germany only with tumblr's. And Germany is the most competitve market after us market. Thanks.

PA alone is not a reliable metric now. It only indicates that the page has backlinks.
Now I find TF much more reliable along with TF/CF ratio.
I don't know the largest but I guess it was around 50.
