SEMrush vs KWfinder who should i trust?

Hi guys. I am long term member here but first ever thread

Have been successful web developer for many years until now i am getting into IM+Dropshipping and failing badly..
However, i am doing some keyword research for my 3-rd Shopify store, niche based.
I have problem understanding difference between MOZ, SEMrush, KWfinder, for same keyword, they give me drastically different competition metrics.

Any thoughts on this?

I just happened to have the same problem and searching for which one should I trust.

what are the factors that are taken into account behind these competition metrics, do you know that? i believe the tools are using their own formulas that can differ drastically, that's why you get different results.
If possible, find out what the tools themselves mean by providing you this data and how they calculated it. They will not disclose all the tidbits but at least you will know what factors are taken into account.
But, in general, agreed with EasyProfits, use your common sense and never trust 100%. Cheers!

I do prefer using SEMRush than KWFinder for research keyword, but for deep analysis, I much believe LTP.

You can use semrush to extract keywords and check competition in kwfinder or keyword revealer.
Even if it shows the keyword is low competitive, you have to check the quantity and quality of competitor's backlinks. It determine the competition level.

Low quality backlinks = low competition

Don't ever use keyword tools for competition analysis. Get Ahrefs, see the competition backlinks and judge the competition by your own mind !!!

Never a good idea to judge competition solely based on tool results, but I'd say go for Kwfinder as it's cheap and newbie-friendly.

Semrush is a great tool for keyword research, kwfinder is good for kw competition, you might want to check ahrefs as well

Any suggestions how I can get a cheap copy... because I can't spend 99$ for an SEO tool.
I already checked out some of these groupbuys etc. but they are all wack and limited and I'll don't wanna share my niche and targeted keywords with other IMarkerters.
