Can you not follow directions? he's only looking to compare two alternatives, not get a third in the mix. Please use some common sense.Let me throw Ahrefs into the mix

you can use both, both have their own algorithm but i will definitely go with kwfinder.

Most things said already. My experience: all keyword competitiveness scores are very loose approximations, useless except for a very rough first filtering.
I would propose to look at what looks sensible from either tool, then do a shortlist and check the first few SERP pages by hand.
In addition to finding keywords you'll learn so much about the market, the competitive approaches, what's needed to get ranked etc. Priceless.
If you want more tools, using Ahref to go in via competitive rankings has already been mentioned, and I second that.
Also keywordtool.io, but it's not cheap either (and the competitive approach only works in the paid version)
