There was a place in St Augustine on US 1 that was a British pub that served food... I never ventured in but they were there for years.
I'm not sure if they still are or not but they had a good run if they are no longer in business.
I'm pretty sure that almost any restaurant in the States has the option to take out food... may Ruths Chris does not and a few others in the higher end but I would be surprised if they did not as money is money and even Ruths Chris offers a container to take what you did not/can't eat home with you.
So we have at least made a mark somewhere else in the world then. I'll bet the food wasn't proper traditional British though.
Didn't see any British food restaurant in my city. Just McDonalds and Burger King from fast food chains and local restaurants

Some nice places to get British food here in Vegas but none of them do it properly. I could find anything I wanted here but all I really want is some nice fish and chips, maybe a battered jumbo sausage and some curry sauce on the side. I would do unimaginable things for that right now
or even a decent cup of fucking tea! Found a shop selling Branston pickle the other day and I cleaned them out, they had chocolate digestives too which I also loaded up on.
Haha, sounds like a typical homesick brit living overseas but missing all the usual home comforts. Whenever I've been out of the country I always miss our food and beverages.

Here in Budapest and Vienna you can find everything you can imagine, tho I've yet to find a good mexican restaurant(but you can eat in bad ones if you are desperate). I've gone to St. Julians, Malta earlier this year -> total disappointment food-wise. Mainly italian and maltese restaurants, not much street-food, few fastfood chains in the centre...
I've never visited your part of the world and don't know much about your food tbh. I would like to visit Budapest one day though.

I got take-out pork lo mein yesterday from a seedy, sticky-looking Chinese restaurant near home.
The cashier was, I shit you not, nine years old. It was the son of one of the employees. He was this fat little brilliant Chinese kid and had incredible customer service. Perfect English, called me "sir", said "we appreciate your generosity" when I gave them a $10 tip, told me about how he could make change in his head, and had his mom give me an extra shrimp roll.
In turn, I left them a solid Google and Yelp review. The food was terrible, but I'll go back again to chat with that kid.
Future employee for you there then. Grab him while he's still young enough to
exploit teach.
So us brits haven't left much of a mark on the culinary world. I was just curious because I haven't travelled much, only our own little island here and a few nearby European neighbours. I've never been too far away from the good old British chippy or a cornish pasty and when I have been out of the country and find someone trying to copy British food it is never very good.
