my question is why there is a big difference between number of males and females in im?

Same reason theres a big difference between female and male engineers. The gender gap is still changing, looking at this forum about half the forum is indian and just watching a special on billnyes new netflix they were talking about how India and those countries are still trying to fix the gap between the sexes but its still tough in some developing areas where women have less opportunities.

In my international business class it was 75% women, so things are changing...maybe in 20 years the girls will be asking where the men are....
