How to setup ebay with Authorize.net after a PayPal ban?

So I'm looking to start up selling on ebay with Authorize.net rather than PayPal because Paypal banned me for some reason a few years ago.

How can I get setup with Authorize.net in the cheapest way possible? It seems so much more expensive than PayPal. However, i see people out there getting as low as 1% rather than 2.9% PayPal takes! HOW?

I would look at other options like stripe.com.
Authorize.net is a major pain in the ass to get accepted, monthly fees and you have to configure the security settings, there is nothing user friendly about Authorize.net. I got scammed for $233 with Authorize.net because I did not set security up right.

How does it work? Sellers can accept credit card payments to their Internet merchant account directly through eBay checkout by providing payment getaway information. This is a free service for eBay sellers. Buyers pay immediately using the Pay Now button. Payments are securely and instantly processed online from eBay checkout through your payment gateway. Sellers receive an email telling them they've been paid and they know they can ship the item.

Do I need to register? Yes, you need an Internet merchant account with your bank or credit card processing company, and you need a payment gateway account.

Do I pay a fee? eBay checkout doesn't charge any fees. However, your bank or merchant credit card processor and payment gateway provider may charge you per-transaction fee or other fees, and a percentage of the total amount charged by the buyer.
Depending on your credit card processing agreement and your monthly transaction volume, Internet merchant account fees may be higher than fees for PayPal, ProPay, and Skrill. I agree, it would be better to get paypal stealth account and avoid problems. But what if you already have ebay account and problems with only paypal and you have good history and feedback? Just to chuck it in the bin? And buy a stealth ebay+pp acc? Probably you can still use your old ebay account with stripe or skrill. This is just what I'm thinking but I may be wrong. People say merchant accounts can be good only for small turnover and many people will be afraid of using something different than paypal

I have no idea, I'm also interested. Yesterday I found your thread, then did some research. Even created stripe acc. But yeah, it looks like ebay doesn't approve it. Also, it looks like there were many many changes in ebay policy about merchant accounts. I've read how it works and it looks so complicated, mate! About 10 different steps between buyer pays and you receive LOL
