Hi,

How can you structure the on page seo for a local business that also sells online?

For example a furniture store has a brick and mortar store that sells couches out of Los Angles but they also have an eCommerce storefront on their site.

What would you use as the H1's and Title Tags?

Thank you :)

You can try structuring the site with a focus on keywords that contain the name of the city the store is in, along with neighboring cities. For instance, "Comfortable, Designer Couches in Los Angeles" and "Affordable Couches and Sofas in North Hollywood".

Register the store's address and contactnd in Google plus and google maps. It helps.

Also, like above, include long tail KW with mentions of product and location... and give it some time :)

Awesome thanks, by doing this they can rank for both local and generic online searches right?

By "generic online searches" do you mean searches performed by someone outside the region where the store is located? I'd imagine its SERP presence will be slightly weaker in that situation, but maybe someone with more experience can provide their input.

Yea that's what I meant.

I would recommend separate pages for Showcasing locations and you focus your products for just the keywords without location myself.
