So it looks like ahiddenman is going to grow some balls and propose an engagement next saturday. Its our one year anniversary so I think now is the perfect time and I got the ring earlier this week.

I'm thinking of booking a classy restaurant and proposing to her that way and hiring a photographer who will stay hidden so he can catch us in the moment and have someone bring some flowers in as well as champagne.

I'm kinda nervous but excited at the same time as we are so close and she's been my rock through everything. I know this is soppy but you know when she's the right one.

Anyone care to share experiences or what they done for their engagement?

I was thinking of booking a section out. It's about $100 per head so I'm unsure of the costs but I have asked, it would be nice to have everyone celebrate the engagement with me and she knows something is up so I think she will be ok with it

I didn't give a shit, that's how she got whatever. We're still friends and she's pretty cool person, she's a police officer and faces some hard shit from time to time, I admire her lots.
