Are web 2.0 dead

This is reason why I'm asking and is mainly for wordpress.I had some strong web 2.0 with unique content manual created and own written content and some links from HAS as buzzfeed,Huffington and other.They get up to PA about 40 and give strong SEO boost to my money sites.They had TF about 5-7 and CF about 7-9 and all iner pages were indexed.Before 2 days when I cheked they were gone from Google and even metrics were lost. TF and CF now is 0.Yesterday and today Chek was same.0 nada because I thought that is some problems in majestic but result were same.What is the problem and this newest update take will take down all web 2.0 as SEO factor anymore.What is your thinking about this situation.

atm theres some update and a lot of sites have dissapeared not web20s only. even white hat sites were influenced, but mainly blackhat sites dissapeared. wait a little bit till it settles. right now the english serps change every 5 min

The fact that your web 2.0s lost links has nothing to do with them being dead. I also do not understand the logic - Google releases update and Majestic, which is a third party company, that has nothing to do with Google all of a sudden changes your TF metric to 0? Use your heads please. Thank you.

I have tons of web 2.0s that have tons of links and are perfectly fine. Links get lost over time. It's normal and it's natural and nothing is dead.

Yes and this is another way. Don't expect too much firepower from web 2.0s. For diversity and foundation they are still good, but investing too much in them is not a good idea at all.

I have tons of web 2.0s that have tons of links and are perfectly fine. Links get lost over time. It's normal and it's natural and nothing is dead.

What I see is utter and complete spammy links ruling the most expensive kw's. These ain't even 2.0, not even 1.0 or 0.5.

Based on my tests, it looks like a lot of mainstream web2.0 sites are really dead if you are thinking of using those for SERP purposes. Previously, a simple blast on the web2.0 will get it ranked sky high. Now, it just enters a regular ranking factor, and no longer has an edge there. Possibly if there's a web2.0 that hasn't been totally exploited - that should be gold instead.

So, again.. it's application to your client/site and how you have BEEN BUILDING with them in the past.

Are you going back and forth between white/black-hat techniques?

Some SEO campaigns take up to 30 days to see the full effects.. Google creates this stagger effect [on positive white-hat SEO even] to see if you will continue in your efforts month after month.

use 1 link per web2.0 to your site and 1 pointing to high authority website or wiki page

IMO one link per domain is great if you just started.

Firstly, have you checked your platforms whether they are indexed ? Does your blogs gets indexed ?...start form basics. It's just another backlink source but some essential research must be done
