Recently we made some relatively significant changes to our website. We changed pretty much every image on our website, the new images are a smaller file size and better optimized, the website is on shopify, we used an ALT text addon that automatically adds the product name to all images on the site, we noticed our brand name came up more than once in the alt text so we have since corrected that.
At the same time, we also changed some of the text on nearly all of our product pages, this was very important to update visitors on recent changes to our products. The changes were very minor (Maybe 3-4 words per product page)
Perhaps 1 or 2 days after these changes were made, our website completely disappeared from Google.com US for our main brand keyword. We were ranking #1 for this keyword and have been for some time.
2 weeks later and we are still not showing up. The strange thing is, we still show up in multiple other GEO locations such as Google Japan, Australia, Hong Kong, etc.
Our website has disappeared for 3 weeks.
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
