system was taken down, to easily abused.

I've been looking on likes rather than posts when I see someone posting very misleading info and so far, it's been definitely more precise indicator than number of posts. Boosting the number of posts, especially when there's no quality control, is the easiest thing to manipulate. For likes or rep you have to post at least something useful. If I see a Jr Vip with 1500 posts and 50 likes, I can imagine what kind of quality he/she is posting.

And one more thing. 99% of people who post useful info don't do that because they want to make the world a better place and help those in need. There's always an incentive. If there weren't, nobody would bother posting anything, let's not kid ourselves. Homo homini lupus.

I still believe that these levels should be based on the amount of "likes received" rather than posts. There are senior/supreme members running around without any added value and newbies can mistake them for people who actually have a clue about what they are saying. I would also maybe consider the age of the account itself. Spamming 1200 posts in 2 months is not that hard really and if that makes seomeone "elite member", then oh well... Doubt this will change, but just saying it would help with the transparency and less people ripped off.

You have been registered here for barely a month...

And we have a different opinion of what is "spam" and what isn't. For example answering the question in a thread after it has been already answered 5 times, without any added value and ideally one sentence. I know at least a dozen Jr Vips who do this. No added value, just pure signature spam. It does not break rules and mods can't do anything about it really, but it makes me want to throw up.

There used to be an app through Topify years ago, but I'm not sure when or why it was done away with.

It used to work on tapatalk, when I joined that's where I would browse the forum through most of the time. Now we only have the mobile website which is ok, no better, no worse.
