Great case study, following!
Are you are using low competition keywords in your threads.Thread 1 and 3 are still stable based on what I reported in my last update
Rest of the threads have no rankings so far
We have a complex system and automations in place to handle all these accs
It's not simply just using an anti detection browser and static proxies
No, the one I am trying to target has a high difficulty. A competitive nicheAre you are using low competition keywords in your threads.

You can do that. The problem is Reddit takes down your subreddit when you post too much threads.I lost 2 subreddits so far because of this.Fire test bro, maybe toss in some parasite SEO tricks like G-doc embeds or PDF uploads too.
Your test is very smart and detailed. It looks like backlinks help a bit, but not always. Maybe posting in trending subreddits with fresh content can help more too.Heyy everyone! I've been doing Reddit marketing for more than a year now and just recently I've been trying to post threads for our own tools and some clients.
I think it would be cool to see what works for moving the needle and ranking a Reddit post on Google.
For this test, I've posted around 7 threads in different subreddits and the niche is 'AI headshot generator'
My strategy is to post and ask recommendations about the 'best AI headshot generator' across different threads. Next, I comment on these threads and promote the tool and add upvotes to it. Works like a charm.
To rank these threads, here's what I've done so far:
1) The thread has a good activity with upvotes and comments
2) Used all high karma and old accounts to comment
3) Did internal linking to other relevant threads in the form of comments
4) Bought cheap $5 backlink gigs for thread #1 and thread #3 only (mostly web 2.0 and the nastiest of backlinks)
5) Added link insertion backlinks for thread #1 and thread #3 in three of my tech related blogs. (Avg DR is 60+ with a good amount of traffic)
The gigs used were these ones:
1) 500 blog comments
2) 120 profile backlinks
So far here are the results for these threads: (It has been more than 2 weeks)
Thread #1: (Went to a high of 25 traffic and then dropped)

Thread #2: No backlinks or any SEO done
(Went to a high of 150 traffic and suddenly dropped)

Thread #3: (Steady at 20 right now)

Thread #4: No traffic
No backlinks or any SEO done
Thread #5: No traffic

Thread #6: No traffic
No backlinks or any SEO done

What else do you think we could try to rank these threads?
I'll share my journey in the coming days and what has worked and not worked.
I think you should start with posting in small subreddits that only have 10k or 20k members because their rules are not that much strict and chances of your post staying up without deletion are more.Your test is very smart and detailed. Could you briefly tell us what additional optimizations you have made to your system? We have a complex system and automations in place to handle all these accs

Havent tried this yet but would be a good testFire test bro, maybe toss in some parasite SEO tricks like G-doc embeds or PDF uploads too.
Wow thanks ChatGPTInteresting experiment! Your approach using internal links and high-DR blogs seems solid. You might also want to try niche-relevant forums or social signals to boost the results. Let me know if you'd like some high-quality PBN suggestions — I’ve had success with similar tests.
Yes, subreddit selection is very importantYour test is very smart and detailed. It looks like backlinks help a bit, but not always. Maybe posting in trending subreddits with fresh content can help more too.

Sorry cant disclose this infoCould you briefly tell us what additional optimizations you have made to your system?
You know making this info public comes with consequences they will make it even more difficultMassive Updates!
I know I've been radio silent but I've been doing soo many tests on Reddit on the best way to rank threads. And I can confidently say I've cracked the main reason which Google uses to rank threads.
- The #1 reason when it comes to ranking a thread (and I know this will sound cliche) is the amount of engagement it has. This includes both upvotes and comments. But the more weightage is given to comments.
- Now my main problem was adding all these comments and I virtually used all Reddit SMM panels but all of them had new accounts and they were a headache in itself. Comments not going through, comments that did go through were collapsed, etc. People that have done this know what I'm talking about.
- For this, we developed our own platform for posting comments and threads from high karma and old accs. Dont know if I'm allowed to share it here or not.
What Surprised Me the Most!
We've posted 10 threads in the past month or so and have had tremendous results. Out of these 10, we were able to rank 8 of them. And no, the keywords we targeted weren't low difficulty. These were in one of the most competitive niches such as legal, finance, CRM, VPN, crypto, etc.
Now, here's the thing that surprised me the most. We didn't build backlinks on any of these 10 threads. Not even a single one. It was all pure engagement and using good established accounts.
And most of the threads ranked within a week of posting them!!
Final Results
Here are the screenshots of some of the threads we ranked:

If anyone wants to know which threads and keywords these were, I'm happy to share in private.
I think with this strategy, we can easily rank a Reddit thread for ANY keyword on Google.
Hope all this helped and was a useful case study
I know but it still isnt that easy to game the Reddit system. Took us months to figure it out and know only a very handful of people that are doing it rightYou know making this info public comes with consequences they will make it even more difficult
Sure all algorithms is based on mathematics. All systems made by man can be cracked.I know but it still isnt that easy to game the Reddit system. Took us months to figure it out and know only a very handful of people that are doing it right
Yeah those were just tests. Didn't promote our brands on theseI'd completely blur the Reddit URL's from your screengrabs, mate- even with the few terms you've not masked, anyone with AHREFS can find them and reverse engineer with a little effort by matching the metrics. Obviously, if these are purely case studies and you haven't monetized them then feel free to ignore!
Just my advice. Solid thread and thanks for taking the time to keep it updated.
