Heyy everyone! I've been doing Reddit marketing for more than a year now and just recently I've been trying to post threads for our own tools and some clients.

I think it would be cool to see what works for moving the needle and ranking a Reddit post on Google.

For this test, I've posted around 7 threads in different subreddits and the niche is 'AI headshot generator'
My strategy is to post and ask recommendations about the 'best AI headshot generator' across different threads. Next, I comment on these threads and promote the tool and add upvotes to it. Works like a charm.

To rank these threads, here's what I've done so far:
1) The thread has a good activity with upvotes and comments
2) Used all high karma and old accounts to comment
3) Did internal linking to other relevant threads in the form of comments
4) Bought cheap $5 backlink gigs for thread #1 and thread #3 only (mostly web 2.0 and the nastiest of backlinks :P)
5) Added link insertion backlinks for thread #1 and thread #3 in three of my tech related blogs. (Avg DR is 60+ with a good amount of traffic)

The gigs used were these ones:
1) 500 blog comments
2) 120 profile backlinks

So far here are the results for these threads: (It has been more than 2 weeks)

Thread #1: (Went to a high of 25 traffic and then dropped)

Thread #2: No backlinks or any SEO done
(Went to a high of 150 traffic and suddenly dropped)

Thread #3: (Steady at 20 right now)

Thread #4: No traffic
No backlinks or any SEO done

Thread #5: No
traffic
No backlinks or any SEO done

Thread #6: No
traffic
No backlinks or any SEO done

Thread #7: No backlinks or any SEO done

What else do you think we could try to rank these threads?
I'll share my journey in the coming days and what has worked and not worked.

Internal backlinking might be worth testing. I would assume the amount of internal link juice you could get to your posts would be far greater than anything you could build off page to it at a scalable price.

Could you explain more about why internal link could be beneficial?

Good luck, I am interested in the same. How many Reddit accounts are you working with?

I have done this. Lets see how it goes in the coming days

Maybe you could try to buy some social shares as well
Yeah I have this lined up for one of the threads. Will report back

I've used the following signals for Reddit posts with positive Google ranking results albeit last year:

- Lots of Reddit comments/upvotes
- Link pyramids
- GSA drip blasts
- Social signals

Basically, you want to mimic what a viral posts looks like.
Hey Charlie, do you have some recommendations on where we can buy some legit social signals?

These are some great recs! Any good service for the GSA blasts?

I've just bought social signals from peopleperhour for $10 for thread 2 and 7

On avg how many comments and upvotes did you do one post? Or did it vary based on certain factors

Man that's a monster amount. Do you know if they are all still alive right now?
Only two have gotten suspended. Rest are working fine

Definitely going to subscribe to this. I've always thought this could work but never tested it

Another update: Just checked thread 3 and it has started ranking for quite a few keywords already.
It is receiving 69 organic traffic. The GSA order hasn't kicked in yet

How long has the thread been alive? What are you using to check rankings in Google?

UPDATE: Bought 10K GSA blast for three threads 3, 5 and 7 from Legiit
