soft ban

So here's the thing, when I post a new photo, I usually get 100+ comments on it. As I like to engage with my followers (and maybe even increase the post's reach), I thank them for their comment. The problem is that Instagram always bans me for too many comments for about 12 hours or so. Is...

How can i tell if my account has been banned from liking pics or following users? (Besides periodically trying to do it manually on the App and see if an error comes up..) Did this happen to some of you? How did you notice the soft-ban? :rolleyes:
