I was reading the post below by Zwielicht. I am curious what the point of doing this spam? Does it hurt their rankings? Or it like the analytics spam that goes on? Just an advertisement? Love to hear thoughts and theories...

Hi guys, I hope this is the right forum to post this. I keep getting some Soft 404 errors, usually from tags on the website. We use a custom skin that was built from the ground up for us. I was wondering if I need to deal with them somehow or just ignore them. Thanks!

Has anybody gotten a soft 404 error for search queries. I am seeing one for "?s=%7Bsearch_term%7D" It looks like others get it but can't figure out how to fix it.
