facebook comment likes

This was new to me, just made some tests sending some likes to comments and they moved the comment from the bottom of the list to the top in "most relevant" and "all comments" filters. Geo Targeting even not needed. Where could it be used? Is it same for TikTok and Instagram? But there it seems...
