alternative to wordpress

I am thinking of launching a similar site to thisiswhyimbroke or firebox (all the product will be aff. products, so no shopping cart required). I am concerned that Wordpress will not be able to handle/become sluggish over time with lots of posts. Anyone has any recommendation for any other...
