Today was an exciting day. Let me tell you why!
My girlfriend's dream was to see/touch giraffe/s from a very short distance. I've even promised her last year, that we will check them out once I'll have some free money for it.
I had a couple of sales for my service last week. So, I've decided to make her wish come true. She always supported me when I needed the most. It was my time to give her something back.
So, last week I've reserved the “tickets” to feed giraffes. Only what I could tell my girlfriend was that I have a surprise for her. I needed her to ask for one day off in a job she works. Luckily her boss gave my girlfriend one day off.
Since I told her about that surprise, she was guessing all day long. Luckily I came with a quick and easy solution to stop her guessing.
Today around 10 am I've told her where are we going. I bought the electronic tickets to the Zoo. Since their website is trash (potential client for someone who is from the Czech Republic), I couldn't extract the tickets as PDF. Even the email the Zoo sent me (link was broken) didn't work.
So, I had to unravel my surprise and ask my girlfriend if she can do download the tickets (I wasn't sure if the error is on my side). She couldn't download the files either. So, I had to call into their support and ask them what should I do. Fortunately, the support was nice and helped solve my issue.
(for people what was the solving - Once we arrived at the Zoo, I had to go into Zoo Information and inform them about my problem once again. Within one minute we solved the problem and printed the tickets there).
Around 11 am we decided to set off, it took us around 1 hour to get in our destination. Once we've arrived, we went into the zoo and checked penguins, eagles, tigers, crocodiles, elephants, and a lot more.
After approximately 3 hours, we decided to take a shortcut. You had to pay around $1.3 for each to get transported via ski chair (don't ask me why they have there ski chairs). It saved us around 1km - 2km walk and got us to our main destination - Giraffes.
When we got to the giraffe park, there were already 3-4 groups of 2 people waiting. After while came the staff and gave us a short brief of: what can/'t do, what should we look for, and some information about the giraffes. I have to say that the staff was amazing!
The feeding process could start!
To be honest, I have no idea who gave the giraffe first granule, because my girlfriend and I were a little bit nervous. It was interesting to see that big animal coming to you with such a big head and long neck.
Nevertheless, I can tell the first meet with giraffe was incredible, and after a few careful feeding moments, we started “playing - joking” with the giraffe. To be honest I didn't know that giraffes have such a long tongue hahah.
The feeding process took around 30 astonishing minutes. Even the group that we were part in was great! After we fed the giraffe (unfortunately only one came to us - out of 7), our group was free to go.

After our program ended, we decided to explore a few more animals such as polar bear, flamingos, otters, monkies, and more. It's insane how the Zoo is so large.
Our little day ended up buying delicious mini donuts with chocolate and caramel topping. The whole day was amazing, and I'm glad that my girlfriend and I enjoyed the maximum out of it.
