ZERO to $1000/mo.

I will try to make this as detailed as possible. This thread WILL be updated everyday with stats, tasks done, and everything in between EXCEPT during emergencies.

The goal is to make at least $1000/mo. on each method and we won't stop until we reach that number for at least 3 months consistently. In which case, I can then go forward and automate everything, scale it, etc. After that, off to a next method.

Background:

Why share everything?:
The answer to that is : WHY NOT? I don't believe in the concept of not sharing because "if a lot of people will do it, it won't be profitable anymore." I believe there's more than enough to go around and if it at some point it will stop working, Adios and off to the next one.

Besides, I have the mindset that the more I give, more things will come to my life. Selfishness only begets more selfish circumstances.

The Purpose:
I think the biggest purpose of this journal is to be an example of both failure and success. I plan on writing everything I do here related to making money online. What I did for the day, hours I've spent, results, statistics, etc. Being a newbie, I'm also hoping to get constructive criticism using this thread. Insights, methods veterans would like to share, or any pieces of advice would be deeply appreciated.

METHOD: Affiliate Marketing through HubPages


DISCLAIMER: I am a total newbie. I am confident with my biz dev skills, writing flair, and telemarketing abilities but I'm d*mb as hell when it comes to IM. My wife handled the advertising, SEO, and affiliate marketing campaigns before at the company where we worked together and so most of what I know came from her. The best part, she's a newbie as well.

Now, I really don't know where to start but as Richard Branson says, "Successful people start before they're ready". So, after reading this method -- (not yet allowed to post links but this this is just supposedly linking to 'Easy $100 A Day -- Perfect For Noobs', a post here at BHW) I decided to start. The difference is instead of making my own website, I'm going to start off with HubPages. I'm not even sure if I can put affiliate links on articles I'll submit to HS (researching about it is part of my tasks today) but even if they don't, I'll manage for sure.

So initially, my plan is to create a high-quality article about a topic related to the product I'm going to promote, post it on HubSpot, and promote the hell out of it. Along with it, I've read that the first step for a website to rank is by submitting it to website directories (still don't know sh*t about any of this ) so I'll do that as well. Tonight, this is all I will do. Will post an end-of-the-day list of tasks done, results (if any), as well as insights/discoveries with my research.

Thanks, man! I never really had the habit of quitting. But something's sure -- I will probably have a lot of failures more epic than most that you'll probably laugh like there's no tomorrow. As for me, I'll add that to my joke book.

My brother helps with the menial stuff while I focus on creating quality content. At this early stage, I'd like to do it myself first, see if it works, and go from what the results will tell me.

Day 1

I was able to do nothing. :3

Well, I did a lot of research about Clickbank and Hubpages. First, Hubpages won't publish any post that has CB links on it. So I've set up a FREE blog site, customized the design and stuff, created an about me page, pretty much the basics. Then, I created a very long content. I've probably already written about 2000 words about weight loss for women when my wife told me that CB payment methods kind of s*cks.

It's in check form so it's going to be shipped which will probably take about a week. Not to mention it will take 60 days before the check clears in our bank. That is pretty much a deal breaker for me. Wasted my effort writing which took me about 2 hours + including research and it's still just halfway done.

Still, I was able to learn a ton of things. First, before deciding which affiliate network to get myself into, I should've done ample research about the company. Second, consider what payment methods I am comfortable with and check what adjustments I need to make.

I will still give CB a shot (I'm pretty stubborn) once I'm already earning from a separate muse. My brother helped narrow down a list of article submission sites that still works, requirements, etc. so the day's still productive.

STATS:
Research (HubSpot, Clickbank) -- 57mins.
Creating a free blog site, customization -- 16.23mins.
Content Writing -- 146mins.
List of article submission sites -- 227mins
TOTAL -- 446mins. / 7.43 Hours

ACHIEVED:
