Hey all,

Last month I've graduated from university as a software engineer.
Ever since then I have zero motivation to work. I am earning 1-2k$/mo on autopilot and about 500-1k$/mo from selling services which only takes me a few hours a month. I'm still living with my parents and as I've barely got any costs (only like 500$/mo) this is plenty currently.

I'm just sitting here staring at my screen during the week and walking around my office but I have zero interest in doing anything work-related. I was planning to find a software dev job but I can't be arsed to do this. I really don't know what's going on.. I've also started a few great affiliate sites that are growing well but I have zero motivation for typing new content.

Anyone else whoever had the same thing? Any tips to fix this demotivating stuff?

Take a break for a couple of weeks, seems like you are burnt out

I see connection with not having interests with nofap. People often connect back to their passions with this.

It's weird advice. Especially on IM forum. But it works for many

I've actually started nofap like 2 months ago and I'm on 63 days already haha

Take some time to write down what you want to do then. No need to rush it since your making money, but write your plans down, so you know what to then work on.

Oh really, that surprised me as people who try to nofap will usually try their best to stay away from porn or thoughts leading to it, but you have pormhup.com in your website section. Is it for irony or?

Thanks, great advice.

Yeah irony :) I don't even think about porn at all anymore lol. The idea of fapping destroying my energy for my powerlifting workouts makes me not think about it at all anymore.

start planning on how to take over the world

Don't go with no fap.. U can read many articles about fact masturbation is healthy. Watching porn can damage your brain not fapping :D

Probably you just understood what programming it's not yours. Did you try to get a job?

I've been developing software for over 10 years. But I suddenly don't enjoy it anymore somehow. Haven't applied for any jobs yet.

modafinil is good.

also maybe you are doing the wrong work. being able to code doesnt mean you have to. get ideas for projects and use your revenue to fund it. oversee things that interest you.

Maybe you don't find a purpose on developing for the sake of it. I was on the same position as you when I graduated time ago.
What's the point of developing for others, pointless software for pointless companies, if you are already earning a living?

You can think on employing your time for something that matters for you. You could fulfil your role in life, without formally working like a white collar.

Oh well, 18+ years of programming, last two years work as a tech lead, I want to vomit with blood from coding. Sometimes do only my own project but dream to hire some juniors who will do it instead of me ;)
Even don't know what to advise, I'm in the same boat.

Living with your parents is the safety net, but at your age you should have moved out and be in the real world.

" I am earning 1-2k$/mo on autopilot and about 500-1k$/mo from selling services which only takes me a few hours a month." So scale this up and be productive but stop feeling sorry for yourself.

Once you have bills to pay, rent/mortgage, tax etc, you need to get off your arse and either work hard on your projects or suffer the dead end job you don't like. Choice is yours.

First of all, you're already doing the right thing.

You don't need to work, you need to make $.

They're 2 different things and you're in the right track.

Secondly, make the most of this time you have with your parents. For several reasons. But business-wise, because it's the only time in life you have to save up $$$ without paying for kids, wife, dog, hospital, lawyer, car, cat, insurance, mortgage, hookers.

Work on scaling that autopilot income streams. Might keep you going!

Just scale your business lol
Start new websites, invest in the current websites, post more content - hire more writers

You can basically be a manager of your projects. Rather invest your profits in your projects than to let your money stay in the bank or under your bed as inflation will eat it up
