Zero Backlinks despite bookmarking and web 2.0 submission

Hey guys, I created a new site 1 month back and do some web 2.0 submissions and bookmarkings around it. I did around 200+ web 2.0 accounts (Tier 1 & 2) around it and 125+ Bookmarking submissions. I am yet to do Xrummer and ScrapeBox blast around it.

Surprisingly, I check the web 2.0 site and most of these sites are indexed by google. But according to Yahoo back links checker, it is showing as 0 backlinks.

My site is still in page 2-3 for some pretty competitive keywords. Site is very well optimized with seo contents. I was just wondering, why is it showing 0 backlinks despite all my efforts?

they take a while to appear as your backlinks, especially the new made blogs etc
also some bookmarks will never show up as backlinks

give them some time. the important thing is that you got some rankings, that's all that matters :)
 
That's strange.

Are you sure you are checking your backlinks correctly via YSE?

If they are indeed "indexed", then there's a good chance that Yahoo's seen them and they should show up.

Not *all* backlinks will show up in YSE, but you should be seeing something.

Come to think of it, even though I do a lot of bookmarking and web2.0 using senuke, I don't see much of them in YSE. And I even got some of them crawled/indexed. It's the articles, comments on blogs, classified ads and blogroll of wp sites that show up.

from my experience you will always get differing results. my results for all of my sites jump around in numbers of urls in google and alot it also takes time for things to circulate.

This is the most important thing. If you can visit the url from your browser, and if you can type in the result in google and see it, and if your link does not have a no follow attribute then who cares what yahoo says you are golden.
 
Yes it takes time to index. Check your backlinks with majestic seo for live results.
 
Yahoo takes time to index, for one and these days it's ultra slow at that. It doesn't report near as many backlinks as majestic does. :-)

In the end, SERPs are all that count. As you said you're already ranking, no need to be concerned about Yahoo!
 
As long as it's been a month try pingomatic or pingler and try to get the links indexed quicker. just type them into google and you'll find them.
 
Try checking majestic SEO. I like to use Yahoo site explorer and majestic to get a kind of ball-park figure of backlinks. Also, I would suggest a backlink service or buying SB and doing some blasts yourself.
 
Here are some my finding:

1. yahoo site explorer only shows you certain kind of links not all links. I have about 80,000 back links shown on my google webmaster tool but on yahoo explorer, it only shows 3400.

2. I guess most of your links are low authority links. You need to get some high PR links or higher quality links. I know it sounds very vague but it is true. Just build more authority links.

3. You need to diversify your links especially when the site is new to gain authority from SEs. Just remember one thing: if Google find some articles about your site, some profile links about your site, some social media links about your site, some authority forum discussion about your site, then you will have significant serp lifting on search engine. For my experience, Google does have a new site filter to slow down your ranking process but this filter can't be passed easily if you have diversified authority links. ( remember Diversified and Authority ) You need both.

You should worry more about rankings rather than backlink count. Forget the links you built and focus on what you will build.
 
This is something I am interested in too. usually how long does it take before the backlinks start to appear?
 
If the links are indexed in google then your good to go. Who cares what YSE is showing. Spend more time building links and less time seeing how many show up.
