keep in mind "hacking" is illegal if you do not own the stuff you are hacking into, or if you don't have written autorisation to hack into something, well, that means that if you do have the autorisation, or that you build your own lab with virtual machines, you can hack all you want without going to jail for it, compagnies hire pen testers and give them written autorisation to hack into there compagny and write a report on how they did it, it is very fun to learn because you feel like you have a super power, if you are intrested, you can later if you want to really dig deep into this field opt for certifications like the OSCP and other ones, and that can get you a 100k $ / year job, so this field ain't no little kids jokes it's a real field and it's very intresting and very fun
there is already a lot of websites that gives you autorisation to hack there machines and networks in the context of a trainning, it is called Capture The Flag, CTFs
