Zeek Rewards- Anyone tried it.

Oh boy. I just finished watching the private Paul Burks Q an A video that I posted last nite and all I can say is WATCH IT! If you want a deep insight on where this company is heading and the thought process behind WHY this company was developed, drop everything and watch it. My sponsor has mentioned that Paul is a really "down to earth" person and it really comes out in this video. You'd better do it fast though as this link is not a public link and may be taken down at any time...http://www.gvovideo.com/players/GVO...fffff&color=0xffffff&wm=false&fitp=false&curl

As sold as I am on ZR, I still had one MAJOR concern and it was addressed in in this video and I was VERY PLEASED with the way he answered it.

so what if you have 1k i there and want to cash out all of it within 90 days. So what if they only pay 1% each day and you do not want to repurchase.(being silver or gold)
as you can post ads anywhere they might not b effective but you get your reward. so they divide the total profit by all member's points, so where do they actually make profit when they give the whole profit away? it seems the only money that stays for the company is the monthly fee of the affiliates as the daily profit is given away.

It are two companies, the front one being Zeekler, which is a penny auctions website and their main source of income. They make up to 400% profit on each auction. Profits are shared 50/50 between the company and us who are essentially an advertisement force to them.

If you are good with split testing and optimizing PPC campaigns, there is huge potential with this. I just got an adword voucher that had around $80 on it and it, and i was bidding in general words without any research, example: penny auctions, zeek, free bids, etc......And I ended up getting 20 people to sign up for free bids. 20 signups for $80, 4 dollar per signup, but remember i did zero kw research and used general terms like "online penny auction". So if you put in the effort to research and have a history of successful ppc campaigns it would convert unlike anything ive ever seen. Im currently waiting for the people to use up their free bids and start depositing hopefully :)

Hi Guys,

As I don't want to annoy Shelterman with all of my questions, I will annoy all of You! :)

I made 2 posts on another forum and I would like You to share Your opinion with me about them.

So here they are:
"I am doing my research on Zeekler.

Heard good and bad. Saw it on ripoffreport and scam.com, without any real evidence though.

I checked out some auctions and I can see that Zeekler makes really good profit. For example a Kindle was sold recently for $12.9 and the retail price is: $79.99 . Each bid increases the price by $0.01. One bid costs $0.65. Do the math. $12.9 equals 1290 bids. 1290*0.65= $839 and $839/$79.99= 10.5. So Zeekler made a *10 profit, and that is only 1 item. Hope I did the math right.

The thing that still bothers me is how can Zeekler pay out so much to its affiliates when they, according to the 70% plan in an excel spreadsheet I received, can get out all their initial investment really fast and let the compounding "interest" pay for the monthly membership. Plus in exchange place only one classified ad/day which to be honest won't generate that much profit to company that it pays out.

I checked the Alexa ranking of the site, demographics and estimated unique visitors. With 150k worldwide it sounds good plus the data in adplanner is not always accurate and is usually around 1/3 of the real traffic that the site gets.

All in all the concept of telling people to join and use only the RPP to get money out of the company and to only give back the value of 1 classified ad/day is not a good strategy. It can kill the business on the long run (or maybe not so long run). At least in my opinion and the promotion should be aimed at Zeekler as a penny auction for the company to survive plus constant development of their system (website), the introduction of new functions, better items to bid on etc.

I ask those who are in Zeekler for some time and maybe know the staff, or the CEO, and can tell what longterm strategy they have. For example how much % of the company revenue goes into development of the system? (there is much room for development)

Well thats all I wanted to say now.

Please share Your opinion and experience."

"No I don't say that. The winner auction says "Won with 565 Bids", so the winner bid 565 times I guess. 565*0.65=$367.25. Thats still too much for a $79.99 item, but I guess he needed to spend those VIP bids anyway.

Today the same kind if kindle was sold for $1.08 which is 108 bids. 108*0.65=70+1=$71 but the retail is $79.99. This is a loss for Zeekler (not much though) but I suspect they pay the wholesale price only . The winner bid 48 times, so it was a nice catch for him.

Have You ever won something with Zeekler?

BTW I am comparing Zeekler to beezid.com right now and sorry to tell You but it looks much better.
It looks a lot more professional than Zeekler, plus look at those logos at the bottom:
Verisign, TrustE, McAffee, Paypal.
If Zeekler wants to build trust, which I think is especially important in case of a penny auction site, then he should get those services as well.
Plus the listed items are better too. Sorry, but true.
All of them are popular, and look much better on the landing page than an iPod case or bracelet.
The unnecessary whitespace above the footer looks really unprofessional also.

Now checking bidbass.com. That one also looks much better.

Does Zeekler have a developer, designer? With more than 150k visitors worldwide/month and with the profit they seem to make they should constantly make the site better. Perform A/B and multivariate tests etc. Zeek Rewards also needs some IM love.

If You want Zeekler to last to earn more money, then You shouldn't think of posting 1 ad per day, but spend at least 45 minutes thinking how Zeekler can be better and forward your suggestions to the staff, and they MUST take action if they would like to remain competitive.
Look! More visitors, better conversion, means (or at least should mean) better items for auction and more profit to You. If You would like to truly replace the marketing staff then BE a marketer! Think about it.

Wow. I see a Zeekler affiliate link in adwords for penny auction. I hope that guy knows his ROI. I gave him a +1 .
Hmm... Found another Zeekler affiliate in adwords for penny auction. I like his landing page better with the videos, and the pop-up sign-up form, but there is still room for optimization. Anyway I hope his doing well. Gave him a +1 too.

Anyway, if Zeekler would be as professional as beezid.com then I would have joined already. This way I am still hesitant.

So this post is becoming really long. I didn't want to hurt anyones feelings, so my apologies if I did. Hope someone will join this conversation, and tell me his/her thoughts about the issues I mentioned."

Best Wishes,
Allanon

As a web developer myself, I would agree that Zeekler can do alot of things to improve the look of their website. However, in the big scheme of things, they are better than any other penny auction site out there because of their affiliate program. Their affiliate program gives zeekler.com more exposure and much bigger profits for their affiliates. That alone should be a huge incentive to join because at the end of the day who do you think is going to make more money with less work? Affiliates with Zeek.

Sounds like a nice conversion rate! Congratulations. Did You send them directly to Zeekler.com, or to the promo video?

Thanks for sharing Your opinion, but it isn't just the looks but the functions trust and overall business/marketing strategy also. It is nice to have good affiliates, but that doesn't mean that is the only thing someone should do in terms of marketing and business development. Especially not online in a competitive market, and with those kinds of payouts.

Allanon, have you watched the private video that I posted? A majority of your questions are answered by Paul Burks himself. He even answers your question about why there aren't larger items that some people want to see. It all boils down to profitability. The items that we see on the auction are the items that make the company the most profit.

The questions that you have regarding the companies long term sustainability are addressed also. All of the affiliates are paid based on the percentage of DAILY PROFITS that the company makes. As a brick and mortar business person myself, this man speaks my language and I can tell he plans on Zeekler sticking around for a while, unlike the feeling I get with some companies where I sometimes get the feeling they have their exit strategy planned even before they go in business.

It is nice to have good affiliates, but that doesn't mean that is the only thing someone should do in terms of marketing and business development. Especially not online in a competitive market, and with those kinds of payouts.

You have that opinion probably because all your research is focusing on what MARKETERS are doing. I really don't know what the company ratio of marketers to customers only are, but it is WAY different than you are perceiving. In my own gross subscriber list (meaning total subscribers, both affiliates only and retail customers), I have a 10 to 1 retail customer to affiliate ratio and other than my daily ad to qualify for the RPP, ALL of my marketing is targeting other marketers! The vast majority of the retail customers have no idea that ZR even exists. Paul Burks talks about this in the above video too.

Foremost...hello. I'm still lurking here. ;) No, I'm still not sold on the concept and no, I don't think anyone in this thread is "wrong". I saw this thread pop up again on the front page and thought I'd see where the discussion had led.

I did want to point out that anyone who has not yet watched the video that shelterman posted, probably should. Whether you're already in line with Zeek or if you're just interested in learning more about the concept. It's very long (about an hour) and, being honest, I skimmed a great deal of it. If you're thinking of this as a serious IM venture, however, you should watch it all. As shelterman indicated there are some very good points addressed here. Pay close attention to the black gentleman in the blazer and blue jeans. He's the sharpest guy in the room (I hope this guy is your sponsor, shelterman. ha) and he asks many of the questions of Burks that have been posed in this thread. He even ventures into the legality of Zeek Rewards (asking the person filming to cut off the camera at this point; which they do not).

A few things struck me, personally:

As indicated, Burks does appear to be a pretty "down to earth" guy. He seems likable enough. He's an older gentleman with a Carolina accent and an "aww shucks" kinda attitude. He easily avoids addressing his failed, previous ventures (doesn't even mention them when giving a recount of how Zeek was formed).

I might have missed this part of the video (again, I did skim). Did they just move into a new office or something? His office doesn't look...well...very professional. It's a mess of boxes, an empty desk, etc. Looked kinda fly-by-night to me.

Finally, (and I really don't want this comment to be misinterpreted)...why is everyone, except seemingly one guy, "foreign"? I heard a lot of African and Mexican accents in that room. That indicates absolutely nothing. I just thought that it was interesting.

Bottom line, if you're following this thread, you should take the time to watch it for more insight into the company. There are a lot of folks posting here that are clearly confused with how Zeek works (and I believe that the members here have been very patient in attempting to answer all of the questions). But, I would stress again that if you're going to get into this...or any other form of IM, for that matter...you need to understand what you're doing. Research, research, research. Don't get obsessive. You do eventually have to take action. But, no one should start throwing money at something they don't understand. So...watch the video and use it to assist in drawing your own conclusions.

Absolutely true! I have the same opinion about the office and about the sharpest guy in the room.
Everyone should watch that video who is interested in joining.
Thanks again Shelterman for putting it up! (And always reacting to my annoying questions :) )

Your deduction is correct. He stated that they had just recently moved from their warehouse facilities to a office building.

Finally, (and I really don't want this comment to be misinterpreted)...why is everyone, except seemingly one guy, "foreign"? I heard a lot of African and Mexican accents in that room. That indicates absolutely nothing. I just thought that it was interesting.
I believe they were all part of a group...I suppose that would explain it. My sponsor mentioned that the cameraman was in his upline. That's how he was able to obtain the private footage.

But, no one should start throwing money at something they don't understand. So...watch the video and use it to assist in drawing your own conclusions.
This is one reason I say start as free first (providing your convienced this is for you of course) before you throw money at this. You gain a better understanding as free member than just being a bystander.

What do You mean by that exactly?
I'm sorry I made this sound like I meant just you, but what I'm getting at is when all of us research Zeek Rewards, almost all the info that is posted on the net is what OTHER MARKETERS are posting about ZR. We ALL get the same impression at first...that Zeekler Auctions consists of mostly affiliates that have all been sold on the business opportunity, with very few retail customers...just like most MLM's consist of. This really is different than most MLM's. Sure we all understand that recruting is and can be profitable, but this company concentrates on the sale of the "product", that being the bids, to the run-of-the-mill CONSUMER. Our job is to get them "hooked" by giving away our bids and saturating the net with our ads so when John/Jane Q. Public thinks of penny auction they think of Zeekler....Absolute genious. I'll bet my favorite pair of boots that this business model will be copied big time!

I'm ranting....What I'm saying is that it's easy to get the idea that the majority of the people involved with Zeekler in ANY capacity is just us marketers because we are the ones posting stuff all over the Net when, in reality, it's our parents, aunts and uncles, and grandparents quietly having a blast bidding on that $100 Walmart card.

Thanks again for the explanation.
Yes I know that many people who research Zeekler and Zeek Rewards finds the marketers first. (Though this is really far from being the full research I've made)

Absolutely true. But my questions is: Is this good? Does this create a good image for the company from a potential customer point of view? (who may hate mlm and affiliates, but likes penny auctions)

This really is different than most MLM's.

Yes, it seems, but it is much harder to convince someone when he/she gets a wrong first impression.

Plus I've seen many affiliates promote the free bids and at the same time telling people they can buy a kindle or iPod etc. This is all true. But not with the free 500 bids and I bet there are many users who are put off by this, and guess what they will say about the company when someone asks them.

Getting back to my point with beezid.com vs zeekler.com
Ask 10 people who aren't familiar with either of them and ask which one they like better at first glance. Which one would they join (without using separate landing pages). And the most important!
Which one would they register at, AND buy bids?
Because that is how the company and its affiliates can get those nice payouts.

I sent them to the video because my sponsor said that the video converts the best.
So even affiliates know that Zeekler should convert better, and they send the visitors to a separate landing page because it is said to be more effective.

Also, today I heard from another forum that credit cards are no longer accepted to buy VIP bids. Thats again a -1 for me.
Really do hope that they will fix it soon.

Again my apologies if my comments hurts the feelings of anyone here.

Best Wishes,
Allanon

Credit cards are no longer accepted to buy VIP bids because scammers were sadly using stolen credit cards and it was hurting the company rep overall so they had to get rid of the CC option. :(
