Zack's learning journey

Ok Ladies and Gentlemen

Main site.

Most of you know this main site and another I have are predominately a learning curve, so there will be nothing lost but time and nothing gained but experience through everything I do!

Ahrefs report has me ranking for 1500 keywords. This is with very few, and very shit, backlinks. Got some great advice over the weekend in regards to this and I am very grateful for it.

Ordered 5 PBN links, will add more over the next 8 weeks. I am aiming for 15 in total.

The site is continuing to grow even after the March 12th update. I think this may come down to my user metrics;

From Jan 1st to April 1st.
Google analytics

Users: 417
Sessions: 522
Page views: 2620
Pages session: 5
Avg Session: 2m20
Bounce rate: 0.96%
From Organic search: 37%

So as we can all see. My bounce rate is near non-existent which means people are landing on my site, and finding what they need. This is a great metric to judge if your content is fulfilling the needs of searchers. Maybe this is why my site is continuing to do very well in the SERPS. More and more keywords are ranking and GSC has my site at an average position of 65 now, at the end of January this was 88.

Other Projects

I have started my directory project. Uploaded 170 places. Another couple of hundred to go but I will finalize the first 170 before adding more. I have started to go through and add pics/content for each place so this will take me another week or so as I aim to complete around 10 a day.

I have ordered a Quora partner account. I will keep both these two as updates in this same journey. There is probably a shit load of money to be made with a Quora partner account over the next 18 months and I want in.

I have another website being built which will serve the needs of a UK niche. This required a proper build with API integration so I have outsourced it to @Veil123 hopefully this will be another decent project for sponsorship or advertising.

Full-time work is going well. I am working on a Microsoft portal site which has been great exposure. (not building) This is for event and social media marketing.

Update time bitches.

I have been very busy with work so a slow week, but a great week as well.

My wife is an amateur photographer and she has been working with some of the best UK wedding photographers. They are very impressed with her, so am i. She is doing very well. Hopefully, by next year, she will be very much skilled in her niche and in demand. Having two incomes especially for the prices we will charge for her will be a huge help for us.

Website one.

Stats since the last update 14 days;

Sessions 61
Users 46
Page views 168
Bounce rate 0.0%
Organic 24

Also got an Amazon aff sale. I have had three now so I also got the approval from Amazon.com, no more worries there. It also means people are liking and trusting my site - even though it is far from being up to scratch.

The five PBN links I ordered are getting drip fed.

SEMRush has 573 KW in the top 100 on Google including 171 in the top 50. Ahrefs will likely be closer to 1400 KW.

Website two.

Web directory based on tourism in the UK. Getting close to having half the listings filled out. It is a chore but I do not have the spare cash to outsource it. So I am doing a bit every few days. I do not mind if it takes me a month more to complete.

Website three.

This has just been completed by @Veil123, very happy with is work. This website serves information for people in the UK. It pulls data from the government database. Just need to add the finishing touches over the next few days, then it will just be clean link building.

At work, we have released a new event and registration portal built on Dynamics 365, my first taste of working with Dynamics as I am mainly the social media and event marketer. The owner wants to help me get into consulting though. Hopefully, get a strong year or two in working with and learning from the best Microsoft Dynamics architects and consultants in the UK then I will be set and will go into consulting full time.

Between me doing that and fingers crossed my wife doing her photography life should become a little more comfortable for us.

I think that is all for now.

Peace.

They are baby sites mate. Revenue is small like $10 from Amazon Aff.

Update.

Been super busy so just getting done what i can.

Hired a VA from here help complete my directory site. Should take a load of stress of my head.

I now have Jarvee and i am running two Instagram accounts, 1 Twitter account 1 Pinterest account, and 1 LinkedIn account.

The idea is just to get a feel for Jarvee and each platform which i will then expand upon.

1 of the Insta Accounts is a brand connected to the Twitter account.

I will set up another Twitter account probably today.

Ultimately I want 10 of each accounts running in a couple of months, preferably within some sort of brand structure so by this time next year I am reaching big numbers.

I have got one of my sites approved by Adsense. Took like three days, not sure why everyone says it takes forever.

Nothing major to report.

Ok, it been a while. But good things come to those who wait.

The stats for my main site for the last 90 days;

  • Sessions - 9600
  • Users - 7200
  • Page views - 49,616

This is strictly from social media

I am done with this site now. I used it to test my SEO methods and I am happy to move onto more dedicated affiliate site.
This site is Adsense approved and has around 30k words of content on it it has over 1k words ranking. I will stick it up for sale on the market place.

Over the last month, I was fasting which took a lot out of me, but I managed to move into a better position mentally.

Working my day job the boss is an extremely hard worker and he is the most productive person I have ever met.
This has helped me improve my own time management and get more work done in less time.

1. My article writing is going really well, I have picked up more work and managed to hit four figures for the first time.

2. I have launched my own SEO agency, well it is almost ready to go. Concentrating on SEO and content writing.

3. I have launched another website which is based on LinkedIn marketing, which will be ready to go soon.

4. I have an app being developed to support charity organizations - this is more for legacy than profit.

5. The last update - I have written an e-book that will be getting launched here in the next few days.

Overall I am taking what I have been learning over the last six months on here and applying it to better, more profitable situations.

For those few of you who bother to read this Journey, I will share some valuable tips.

Tips

1) Choose the right niche. If you are new to IM than don't think you can compete with your 1k words a week article updates. It will take you time to learn how to spot a niche, but be patient.

2) High-quality content will take you further than spending $$$ on high-quality links.

3) The most under-rated part of SEO is content writing

4) Pinterest is a gold mine for traffic. Most of the testing traffic I have mentioned in this Journey so far has been from paying a Fiverr seller to promote my pages on Pinterest.

5) Pinterest traffic also works for organic YouTube views.

6) Don't rush - Learn. You will have a more profitable 2020 if you read, learn, and test methods for the rest of 2019 with the intention of learning a skill, rather than earning money.

7) Make sure your site is working optimally; Speed, UX, and UI should be your number one priority after content.

8) If you have an idea then make it happen. Don't procrastinate. We have a very limited time on this planet and there is no shame in failing. Fail hard and fast so you learn and win big.
