So Ello has always said that they would not have ads. It even says it in their terms.

I don't know what they think a ad is, because I think that email advertising should be under the "ads" category. Don't you?

Hehe...they saw that they could potentially make a lot of money with all those emails. I don't really blame them! Cool move, but they still are not telling the truth.

I consider it an ad. They are promoting something. That makes it an ad, doesn't it?

Sure it's an ad if they promote something, but what Ello have said is that they won't be selling your info to any 3rd parties, for targeted ads.
If they open their own shop, it's another story.

On the other hand.Ello is still nothing.NO features no nothing.Only a wall that is never changing images.They should get out of beta...this way nobody is going there.

Yeah...they have to make some money before paying some better developers a lot of cash to improve the site. At first I liked the UI because it was different but now I see its kind of lame.
