Hi, I already made a post a while ago about how I deleted most of my videos and my videos stopped showing up on home and in recommended sections.

I contacted youtube at that time and they told me tHeRe "iS nO sUcH tHinG aS sHaDowBan"...

I decided to keep trying and well, things got a bit better and channel was slowly starting to get back where it was. Not yet there, but it started getting there... up until a few days ago.

Youtube put a 18+ restriction on my new video, even tho it has nothing to do with that kind of content. I also have some two extra pages I need to fill in while uploading new videos, which I do not have on any other channel.
I deleted that video and uploaded it again. This time it passed, but still got restricted after a few days.
Yesterday I uploaded another video and it is as good as dead when it comes to likes, views, comments, etc...

I make videos about tech targeting Serbian market, and none of my content is remotely related to 18+ topics, politics or some other sensitive subjects.

In my country, we have a huge problem with paid reviews. Brand representatives located here are literally paying youtubers to speak only the best of their products. That leads to tons of youtubers worshiping every piece of garbage and people falling for their fake reviews and ending up buying that garbage. Since I am not doing any paid reviews and I get my products either myself or from foreign brand representatives, I do not have to hide bad things about products and I can always tell the truth. I noticed that it really bugs these local brand representatives, they often report my videos, share my videos as an example of how their poor souls have to deal with all sorts of things every day and how maintaining a good name for their brand is so hard. None of them wants to cooperate with me in any way, even when they have a really good product which has almost no flaws. Also, when I make a deal with some foreign brand representative, whose brand has offices here and the brand wants to provide me with the product directly from here, local office just ignores it and does not want to send me the product even tho they are instructed to do so from the main office.

I am suspecting that YT is somehow doing a favour to these local brand representatives(since they spend so much money on ads) by censoring independent channels who can say whatever they want about the products they are reviewing.

Could that be the case? And if it could, should I just ditch the channel?

I really do not want to do so, but putting the effort into making videos for that channel would be insane if I am going to get censored and get my reach killed from now on.

I think you are shadow banned for "18+ restrictions" and not for "favoring local brands".
take it slow, make good content (not 18+ vids ) and in 2 to 3 months you'll see results

I have never made 18+ videos as I said. That restriction was totally random. I am making tech reviews, that is not 18+ content.

Also, what "favouring local brands" there was no word of it in my post? You mean YT doing a favour to them?

Yours is a very unique case, are your thumbnail showing some adult stuff, ClickBait type

"I deleted that video and uploaded it again. This time it passed, but still got restricted after a few days."
this means its not random.

Well yes it is random, because video has nothing to do with 18+ content. It is showing how to set screen orientation to be always landscape on Mi Box S.

My thumbnails are showing just the product and some text. Either the product name or something related to it. Really plain and simple thumbnails. Text is never clickbait. I have been making reviews for years, I know what content I am making.

18+ doesn't mean nudity.. i got that by just saying "arrogant" in the title

But that has nothing to do anything with 18+ topics either...

Why is "arrogant" something that should be restricted?

YT is such a garbage.

you need to check this to understand better about why age restrictions filter are raised

I do not see it mentioning anything about setting the orientation of apps to landscape.

I think I found your channel and hope you don't mind sharing it here.

I checked the channel and everything looks good, but when I was scrolling your channel's videos, I found that you have changed the niche and started teaching developing languages, at that point, the reach dropped as you can see below, then you got back to the first niche, but the reach still the same and the issue happened a year ago, which means it may be difficult to get back the previous "content reach" quickly.

Changing the content of any social media account or channel is a bad idea. I suggest keeping the same first niche and try new strategies to raise up again, never give up.

Good luck.

That was short after I deleted tons of videos with about 2M views total(I know, I was stupid). That caused a drop, but this new thing is unrelated to that.
If you see my recent videos, I have a few with over 10k views and some with a few thousand and many with under a thousand.
It is quite similar as before.
The problem is my video from a few days ago getting 18+ restriction and video after that having almost no reach.
That is why I am concerned and do not know if I should continue with the channel at all.

its remarkable how Google has implemented this "shadow ban" on almost all of their platforms. EVERYONE knows it, even tho these wankers are saying it doesn't exist.

YouTube: It obviously exists. You are just one example of it.
Google Play Store: It definitely exists. I have uploaded so many apps in the past.
Google Search: Definitely exists as well. People referred to this as "sandbox" before. Like you are stuck on page 5,6,7 or sometimes you are not even indexed...

My guess is they want to push people to spend money on ads.

And this is also exactly what Facebook did if you guys remember. Before it was all about "Facebook Fan Pages" and the organic reach was fantastic. Now the organic reach is shit and everyone is using Facebook ads. Basically, you can have a Facebook page with 100k likes but only 2k will see the post. They just killed organic reach. No one cares about FB pages anymore.
