YT - Earnings per 1000 Impressions?

Been wanting to try YT for quite sometime now, but I am just not sure if the earnings justify my effort.

Can any season YT uploader tell me what is the rough amount I can make per 1000 views?

Will the earnings differ if most of my views come from 2nd or 3rd tier countries?

generally around $2.50 but it depends on how long the video is and how many ads u manually insert (if any).
i believe the viewer's location is irrelevant, but i may be wrong.

The location is relevant and is a big factor. CPMs are differnt for every country, I cant tell you how much i make per 1000 views becuase i got claimed videos and shit.

To summarize, $.80 from banner ads and $5-$8 from ads that run before your video starts. That's in US, btw

Depends on your video length, the countries you are getting views from and other factors.
I run a music channel so I get fucked over in all aspects. I make around $40 a month from 190k views, but most are claimed.
