Updated January 25, 2019:
is YouTube planning to kill the compilation genre for good now, with their new policies?
- We renamed some content quality violations from:
- “Automatically generated content” to “Repetitious content.”
- “Duplication” to “Reused content.”
- All YouTube Partner Program participants (both new and existing) will now be reviewed on a regular basis to ensure they meet the policies outlined here.
Reused content. This is content that doesn’t provide significant original commentary, or educational value. It may also mean that we’ve identified that large portions of your channel either completely match other content, or are noticeably similar. Examples include:- Third-party videos stitched together with minimal to no changes
- Third-party content compiled without a narrative
- Content uploaded somewhere else first
- Content uploaded many times by multiple users
