Can't fully agree. Many copycats are booming out there.
For example, this guy, Adrian Saenz, has made a reputaiton exclusively copying others precisely.
The query in spanish: "Earn money crypto", first 4 results: this guy.
And the fact is that I've never watched more than 2 minutes from this guy because he is pure bullshit just from the beginning. It's clear his copy style in each single video he creates.
Basically he is doing the same as Jake Tran did with Graham Stephan, but sucessfully
And precisely, I know him because other Youtubers that have been copied by him.
Almost 1M subscribers in 1 year.

This is pure facts. Just because it didn't work for that Jake Tran guy, doesn't mean it won't work for others. I know many people who copy stuff and do well. It's just because of his failure in copying others, he thinks everyone else will fail too. I don't need to read a whole book just to know that creating your own niche or approach of style can bring profit. It's common sense.
