Youtubers as affiliates?

Currently I am going about working with YouTube influencers trying to land some CPA based affiliate links in their video description, however it seems like people are not that fond of clicking on it actually. Could you advise on how to improve the click through rates, or should I rather focus on websites?
Also, has anyone tried working with Discord servers? Last I reached out, seems like they're very reluctant to running any kinds of ads/links there.

Only a link? send a clip so viewers can see in the first minutes of the video an advertisement about the product...
