After doing ton's of research, I feel its really important to establish Channel Authority and a decent page rank BEFORE posting many videos. What is your alls opinions?

Also on a side note I have found that building a Google+ has pushed all my videos up to 2 pages in the YouTube SEO.

What are your thoughts?

What do you mean by many? I have been uploading at least 3 videos/day for almost a month now and the results are amazing!

I have made 10 videos with text and images, each about 30 seconds in length, uploaded them and optimized the titles and descriptions for 1 keyword, added a link in the description, and have had awesome results from that.

The niche is technology related and in the videos I record myself talking about stuff I like.
The key is to experiment until you find what kind of videos get the most views!
